The best solution is to replace inefficientexisting systems with an energy savingDURA-DISC diffuser system. With thebenefit of an Air-CheckSM AerationProcess Evaluation (an Ashbrook Simon-Hartley exclusive) your existingdiffusers can be replaced and the DURA-DISC system installed with a defined payback. The replacement of
an inefficient oxygen transfer systemwith the energy efficient DURA-DISC finebubble diffuser system will pay for itselfin a relatively short period of time justbased on energy savings. The paybackperiod for your specific installation canbe calculated as a result of the Air-CheckAeration Process Evaluation.
THE INDUSTRY’S CHOICE FORHIGH-FLOW+HIGH-EFFICIENCY
MEMBRANE DIFFUSERSAeration is one of the core activitiesperformed at virtually every wastewatertreatment facility. For this reason, it is apriority to achieve highly efficient oxygentransfer. In addition, capital andconstruction costs dictate the constructionof the minimum in aeration basin space.Obviously, flows are naturally quitevariable, so the need for volume flexibilityis absolutely necessary. Since it isuneconomical to build extra basin space"just in case", it is important to be able tosubstantially increase the flow of air intobasin diffusers and thus increase processspeed. Today, accomplishing both of thesetasks, flow + efficiency, with long-termdurability is possible because ofDURA-DISCTM technology.
DURA-DISC high-flow+high-efficiencymembrane diffusers allow you to achievehigher oxygen transfer in your aeration
basin. This is possible because onlyDURA-DISC diffusers are capable ofoperating across the wide range of SCFMflows (from 1 SCFM to 10 SCFM). ThisFull-SpectrumTM capability allows for themaximum process flexibility associatedwith varying flow conditions. For example:when your process flow increases, you canincrease the SCFM rate and efficientlyaerate larger volumes using the existingbasins. For new facility design, this meansthat you can scale basins smaller andhandle increased flows by simplyincreasing SCFM, effectively multiplyingbasin space by as much as 10 times.
The long-term durability of DURA-DISC atall SCFM levels has been proven overdecades of operation. The tapered designEPDM diffuser membrane is resilient and ispermanently locked to the uniquelymaintenance-free DURA-DISC assembly.
For more than a quarter of a century,Wilfley Weber's advanced diffusertechnologies have been proven ininstallations throughout NorthAmerica. This includes aerationsolutions for virtually every type ofmunicipal, industrial and aquacultureapplication. Over the years, WilfleyWeber has earned an enviablereputation as the leader in high-flow+ high-efficiency oxygentransfer. Wilfley Weber technologiesare available to meet every aerationrequirement, including both finebubble, and coarse bubble diffusers.
Only Dura-Disc diffusers provide long-life operation across a widespectrum of SCFM flows (from 1SCFM to 10 SCFM).
Wide air flow range allows for process versatility in diverse applications.

EASY TO RETROFIT TO EXISTING SYSTEMS
Installation is a very simplefour-step procedure, whichmakes it possible to install eachdiffuser in a matter of minutes. This simplicity dramaticallyreduces labor costs associatedwith installation. As the adjacentphotos show; soap is applied tothe saddle; soap is applied to theDura-Disc; then the diffuser ispressed into place and twisted ahalf turn to set the threads. That’s it!
Simple and Quick Installation ProcedureReduces Up Front Costs, Significantly
The benefits of the DURA-DISCTM diffuserare also available for existing aerationbasins with other diffuser technologiesinstalled. The DURA-DISC is easy to
install into existing systems on adiffuser-by-diffuser basis. Retrofit kitsare available for virtually any brand ofdiffuser.
