Production of music magazine DPS(Double page spread)

To start, I added the title “THE WORLD WILL BE OURS!” This was added by using a simple text box and changing the font so that it dominates the page. The colour was changed by using the colour tool at the right side of the Quark page. I also added the stand first in the same way.

Then, I added the interview to the page by typing the interview up onto a word document. Then I saved it as a word 97, then on Quark went “ Import text, word document” then I typed in the bottom that I wanted 3 columns. I then changed the colour of the text by using the colour changing tool on the right side of the Quark page. I also had to link the three columns together so that the text would flow from box to box. This was done by using the linking tool and clicking on the boxes that you wanted to link.

To finalise with the text, I added the page number, the date and the title of the magazine again. This was done by using a simple text box again, and adding it to the bottom right of the page to look like a real music magazine, and to anchor the title with the magazine. The colour of the page number was changed from black to red, by using the colour changing bar on the right side of the quark page. Also I added the drop quote that will go over the top of my image. This was done also by using a text box.

To finish, I added my main image to anchor the text to the article. On the image the model is giving direct address to attract the target audience. Also, the models clothing matches the colour scheme to compliment it. This image was added by clicking “ The picture tool (Rectangle with a cross inside) and the clicking “ Import picture” and then found the image in my documents.
