I scanned in images of articles of clothing which represent modern femininity on an Epson scanner

I manipulated the scanned images in Photoshop

I gathered materials- label sheets, cut fabric to fit onto the sticky backing of the sheets and a little printer magic to make……… (next slide)

Voulè! Experimental art… printed images on fabric that was placed on label-paper backing

Next, I melted Microcrystalline Wax (similar to encaustic) and dipped my fabric in it

Once the wax hardened, my once soft, silky images were then hardened sculpture-esque forms

I then sewed into the forms with fishing wire and hung them individually

I then hung them and placed tealights under each one.

Finally, I lit the candles and allowed the waxey/printed/suspended forms to dance above the candlelight.
