HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

In 1874 Girish Ch. Ghosh has started his business named M/s. Girish Ch. Ghosh, manufacturer &

seller of Beam Scale (Class - B.C.D.) in British period at 37 B. T. Road, Kolkata - 700002. Office / Godown at

39 B. T. Road, Kolkata - 700002, Showroom 161 Netaji Subhash Ch. Bose Road, Kolkata - 700007, Rajakatra,

Burabazar.

At that large variety of Weighing Scale & Weights supplied to the Govt. Mint, F.C.I. , Railway and other

prestigious sectors.

Business continues through manufacturing of Beam Scale of various type with weights. B Class Beam

Scale supplied to Jewelry shop & acquiring Repairing license throughout West Bengal for Testing C.I.

Weights & Bullion Weights.

Then we developed in Weighing Scale line, we became manufacturer of Mechanical Weighing

Machine & Repairer of Weight Bridge, Weighing Scale. We also done conversion of Weigh Bridge in various

factories / Public weigh bridge throughout West Bengal.

Then gradually we developed Electronic Weighing machine. We started repairing for Oil Flow Meter

also. Society knows the company as a "Complete Weighing Solution" in weighing world.

Our product, quality and our dedicated service satisfies the various level of our society, such

as various National & Multinational Companies, Govt. & Non-Govt. Sectors in India as well as common

people of our surroundings.

Then we got License from West Bengal Govt. for Calibration work in Storage Tank & then

gradually we flurriesed our business to Orissa, Assam, U.P., Jharkhand, Chhattishgarh, Sikkim and other states

in India.

We became an approved vendor of IOC, BPCL, HPCL, Tata, Reliance and many other companies. At

present we are running our Calibration Work business in Storage Tank / Vat / Sphere / Horizontal Tank /

Bullets / Fixed Roof Tank / Fixed Cum Floating Roof Tank / Floating Roof Tank / Ship Burge etc.

1. Girish Chandra Ghosh settled in Cossipore, Barackpore Trunk Road, Kolkata in new environment of the then

Calcutta leaving his ancestral home at Rajpur near Sonarpur a small village 24 Pgs.(S), West Bengal.

2. While barely in his teens he gained in his family line as an apprentice with a glorious promise of an

accomplished craftsmanship by his inborn skill and genius.

3. Girish Chandra Ghosh scales replaced the foreign imported ones that was a great national achievement.

4. With energy vigor and grit he set his concentration to the manufacture of various types of Beam Scale which

was highly appreciated by his Excellency.

His next attempt to manufacture Brass Scale was also crowned with success.

The great successor of him in his family Late Harendranath Ghosh developed the business in workmanship

With God Gifted sense & knowledge all throughout India Business activity reached glorious time Late

Debendranath Ghosh assisted him in all respect.

Sanjib Kumar Ghosh with his expansion business sense expanded one Business from Beam Scale’s to

storage tank calibration work. Sujit Kumar Ghosh, Sandip Ghosh and Jyotsna Ghosh assisted him in all respect.
