ABOUT US
Afrostructures (Pty) Ltd, formed in 1980, is a construction company that specializes in Structural concrete, Pipelines, Earthworks and Building works.
Afrostructures (Pty) Ltd is self-sufficient in tendering and acquiring its own work, offering competitive pricing and expertise.
Our project teams strive to maintain a strong foundation of trust and mutual respect established over many years with clients, architects, engineers,
subcontractors and suppliers. Our established Company policy of shared performance responsibilities ensures the highest degree of professional service
delivery on all projects.
STAFF & EQUIPMENT
The company employs approximately 350-500 hourly paid employees and 80 monthly paid staff, generating an average annual turnover of
approximately R180 - R250 million.
The Company runs its own internal stores division, which owns an extensive range of formwork, small plant and other
equipment. (including concrete mixers, crane trucks, mobile cranes and TLB’s)
Our team of experienced construction personnel provides efficient cost controls, accurate scheduling, quality controls resulting in efficient and timely execution of
the works throughout the duration of the project.
Sound knowledge of local building requirements, health and safety and other local authority requirements ensures all projects are completed on time and on
budget without compromising quality.

Contract Description:As part of the Go! Durban project, this contract is comprised of two post tensioned pedestrian bridges. One 66m pre-stressed concrete box girder bridge. Contract Description:Addition of a new 32.4m diameter clarifier and all associated pipeworks etc. The clarifier was to be founded on precast driven piles, which design criteria included refusal against upward movement (floating) due to the high water table in the area. Large dia. HDPE pipes laid in deep water logged trenches under difficult circumstances.
