Mohammad Farooque Ali (Trainer: Organizational Development)
Mohammad Farooque Ali is a leading trainer, facilitator and inspirational speaker. He infuses fun and
humor in his interventions that don’t let his listeners get bored. He actively engages his audience by
playing games, telling stories and jokes and throwing easy-to-answer questions. His leisure activities
include gardening and reading books on personal grooming. He is also an avid cyclist.
Farooque is an ACCA by education, a Trainer by profession and a Thinker by action. His experience
spectrum ranges from Organization Development Executive in his family company to
Trainer/Consultant. He also produced a documentary in 2012 which won 3rd prize at Social
Intervention International Conference, University of Karachi. He actively participates in conducting
the trainings and workshops organized by Extra Mile.
Mr. Farooque is currently enrolled in “Organizational Analysis” Course at the Stanford University,
USA. He was also associated with iEARN (A project of USA Government and Society of International
Education (SIE)) in the Access Karachi Programme, 2012-2014.
Azeem Jamshed (Trainer: Organizational Development)
Mr. Jamshed is a Mechanical Engineer, who actively participates in in-house training of employees in
Pakistan Navy as well as Maritime Technology Complex. He is a regular guest speaker sharing his
experiences in short courses run by NUST.
He started his career with Pakistan Navy as a Commissioned Officer in 1990. During his naval career
he headed engineering operation & the maintenance department on board two ships, participated
in R&D projects for Pakistan Navy, headed a group of marine engineering repair workshops and
taught engineering students at Pakistan Navy Engineering College. After Navy, Mr. Jamshed has been
GM Quality Assurance / QMR at Maritime Technologies Complex, Manager Engineering & Projects at
Haseen Habib Trading (Pvt) Ltd. He is presently serving as Senior Technical Manager at Maritime
Technology & Support Services.
Academically Mr. Jamshed holds a Master’s degree in Thermo-Fluids as well as in Engineering
Management. He holds Diploma in Project Management and is a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 9000
QMS.

Mr. Jamshed has 14 years of experience in an ISO certified environment. Besides ISO 9000 QMS he
has the experience of auditing in OHSAS 18001:1999 and HSE ISO 14001:2004 Standards. Mr.
Jamshed was part of the ISO 9000 Implementation Team, when Pakistan Navy Engineering College
got QMS Certified, a first of its kind certification in Pakistan. He also headed the team of 11
engineers who implemented Integrated Management System (IMS) combining ISO 9000 QMS, ISO
18001 OHSAS and ISO 14001HSE Standards at MTC. He has also been a freelance Quality Auditor in
Pakistan for foreign companies.
His other area of interest is Project Management, in which he has an experience of 08 years. Mr.
Jamshed was first exposed to project management in 1993 when he was assigned to an R&D
establishment of Pakistan Navy. During his stay there Mr. Jamshed completed a number of projects
in Mechanical Engineering as well as Textiles. During his stay at Pakistan Navy Engineering College he
supervised 04 Under Graduate design & fabricate projects. He was part of the ISO 9000
Implementation
Project Team, when Pakistan Navy Engineering College got QMS Certified, a first of its kind
certification in Pakistan. He completed 08 Turn-Key projects of Water Based Fire Fighting systems
while serving with M/S Haseen Habib. Mr Jamshed is presently Project Coordinator with CSOC, China
for its shipbuilding project at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works.
During his career Mr. Jamshed has been actively participating in in-house training of employees in
Pakistan Navy as well as MTC. He is a regular guest speaker sharing his experiences in short courses
run by NUST.
Maryam Qureshi (Trainer: Organizational Development)
Maryam Qureshi is our walking and talking encyclopedia. She loves to read and discover all what is
happening in the world of training and language learning. Due to her extensive knowledge she
knows the techniques that make learning a fun activity. Hence, she is very popular among her
audience. At the places where she has given different training workshops, she has been rated the
best. Mariam values the importance of communication amongst people and believes that LEARNING
CAN BE FUN! She is an easy-to-approach person.
In leisure time she loves to read: whether modern fiction or classic literature, magazines on current
affairs, culture, and various online blogs. She is also working as a content writer for Extra Mile in
order to maintain her hard-earned English language skills and pursue her passion for playing with
language. She is a dedicated and student-focused teaching professional, who is committed to
providing a well-balanced and supportive learning environment.
She holds a Master degree in English Literature. She is also a gold medalist in history. She has
attended and conducted various personal grooming workshops. She is a TESOL certified trainer. She
also has considerable command in Phonology (expertise in International Phonetic Alphabets).
Moreover, she has conducted workshops on ‘English Dialects’ and ‘Phonetics’. In addition to that,
currently, she is teaching English Language and Literature to O’ Level students at Sadequain
Grammar School. She has also conducted workshops for teachers at the same school.

These workshops, individually and as a whole, strive to improve the quality of lives of peoples as well as organizations so that they can achieve their desired results in the short term and the long term. 1. Vision that Builds Lasting Success
The purpose of this workshop is to identify clear and meaningful ways to envision the Vision. In this workshop the entire focus is inclined on building a visionary thought through the learning about Personal Mastery, Vision Framework, Brain Science and Role Balancing. This workshop has been designed to give participants the fundamental paradigms, tools and the language to address this complex yet important subject. This workshop will help participants draw their future, what participants want to achieve from their life 20 or 30 years ahead of now. It will equip participants with the ideas through which participants will be able to nourish their vision.
2. Excellence - Go the Extra Mile
The purpose of this workshop is to instill in its participants a yearning to be excellent in all aspects of their lives. Excellence is achieving the highest, optimal levels of unmatched performance with the least resources and attention to fine details. The workshop gives participants numerous ways to implement excellence in their personal and professional lives. This workshop provides essential wisdom for everyone - from the free-lancer to the small business owner to the head of a major corporation offering ways to excel at the 'people side of business' by pursuing excellence at every level. 'The 'Excellence Standard', introduced in the workshop is not about Grand Outcomes. In Zen-like terms, all we have is today. If the day's work cannot be assessed as Excellent, then the oceanic overall goal of Excellence has not been advanced. This workshop hence gives many ideas that can be implemented to achieve excellence.

Building Great Companies The purpose of this workshop is to equip entrepreneurs and business executives with the secrets of creating and maintaining businesses that will leave an impact that is worth a thousand ideas on the society. The workshop will instill in participants the idea of "Preserve the Core/Stimulate Progress". Leaders would sooner sacrifice what is theirs to save what is their followers’. And they would never sacrifice what is their followers’ to save what is theirs. This is what it means to be a leader. It means they choose

to go first into danger, headfirst towards the unknown. And when their followers feel sure they will keep them safe, they, the followers, will march behind them and work tirelessly to see their leaders’ vision come to life and proudly call themselves their followers. This module will teach students to become such leaders in every context and situation. The students will be taught about the laws and principles of leadership, the attitudes and levels of leadership and how to become effective leaders.
5. Stress Management for Wellness
The purpose of this workshop is to make individuals more productive and positive by sharing with them the tools to remove stress from their lives. The workshop will make the participants aware of the levels of stress they take. Judging from the scores they receive the participants will be facilitated in devising strategies to alleviate their stress problems. The workshop will enhance the participant’s knowledge of stress and how to use it to their better advantage.
6. Negotiation Skills : The Art of Creating Win-Win Situations
The purpose of this workshop is to open participant’s mind to listen to, understand and accept the positions of the other party, whoever they have to deal with in their lives, find common interests and gradually secure their own interests. This workshop will introduce to the participants the concepts of positional bargaining and the fundamentals of strategic resolution skills.
