OWAC Engineering Comapany S.r.l. nasce da un’esperienza pluriennale
maturata nell’ambito di attività di supporto ed asistenza ad aziende,
sia pubbliche che private, nel settore dell’ingegneria ambientale, dei
processi industriali complessi, della produzione di energia elettrica da fonti
rinnovabili ed assimilate ( recupero di energia dai rifiuti).
Il nostro CORE BUSINESS è quello di individuare le migliori soluzioni per la
tutela dell’ambiente in cui viviamo.
L’azienda vanta infatti una lunga esperienza nella progettazione e
realizzazione di impianti di trattamento dei rifiuti urbani e speciali, nonchè
nelle bonifiche ambientali di siti inquinanti ed aree industriali dismesse.

gained in support activities and assistance to companies, both public
and private, in the field of environmental engineering, complex industrial
processes, the production of electricity from renewable and assimilated
sources (energy recovery from waste).
Our CORE BUSINESS is to identify the best solutions for the protection of
the environment in which we live.
The company has in fact a long experience in the design and construction
of urban and special waste treatment plants, as well as in the environmental
reclamation of polluting sites and disused industrial areas.

La nostra Mission
La nostra mission riguarda lo sviluppo di soluzioni innovative finalizzate
soprattutto all’innalzamento della Qualità della Vita attraverso miglioramenti
nel controllo ambientale, nella sicurezza e nell’efficienza dei processi
industriali.
I servizi generalmente svolti dalla società (progettazione, consulenze
specialistiche, monitoraggi, ecc.) hanno dunque, in genere, un positivo
impatto sulla popolazione coinvolta; per tale motivo, dall’analisi dei vari
progetti e delle attività svolte dal nostro team nel corso degli anni, è stato
possibile quantificare graficamente gli abitanti equivalenti che possono
beneficiare dei risvolti positivi legati alle attività di OWAC.

all at raising the quality of life through improvements in environmental
control, safety and efficiency of industrial processes.
The services generally performed by the company (design, specialized
consultancy, monitoring, etc.) therefore generally have a positive impact
on the population involved; for this reason, from the analysis of the various
projects and activities carried out by our team over the years, it has been
possible to graphically quantify the equivalent inhabitants who can benefit

La nostra Vision
Per ciò che riguarda l’Italia e l’Europa l’obiettivo che ci prefissiamo è quello
di promuovere sistemi più performanti con l’ausilio di tecnologie al passo
con l’nnovazione.
Inoltre un’altro obiettivo è quello della ricerca tecnologica, che già stiamo
portando avanti studiando alcuni sistemi enzimatici.
Nel Panorama mondiale invece vorremo avviare una serie di attività
volte alla promozione di sistemi integrati e virtuosi per la gestione ed
il trattamento dei rifiuti urbani, oltre che per favorire il trasferimento
tecnologico in paesi nei quali le tematiche ambientali risultano ancora
arenti di una programmazione strutturata ed efficiente, seppur altamente
all’avanguardia in altri settori, quali quello civile ed informatico ( ad es. Cina,
Russia, Emirati Arabi, ecc.).
For what concerns Italy and Europe, the goal we set ourselves is to promote
more performing systems with the aid of technologies that are in step with
innovation.
Furthermore, another objective is that of technological research, which we
are already carrying out by studying some enzymatic systems systems.
On the other hand, in the world panorama we would like to start a series
of activities aimed at promoting integrated and virtuous systems for
the management and treatment of urban waste, as well as to promote
technology transfer in countries where environmental issues are still lacking
in structured planning and efficient, although highly advanced in other
sectors, such as civil and IT (eg China, Russia, United Arab Emirates, etc.).

Il nostro target
OWAC si perfigura come consulente ideale per Aziende, Enti pubblici,

Internazionalizzazione
Al fine di esportare il sistema per la gestione ed il trattamento dei rifiuti
urbani e favorire il trasferimento tecnologico in paesi nei quali le tematiche
ambientali risultano ancora carenti OWAC Engineering Company Ha avviato
un processo di internazionalizzazione aziendale.
Tale processo ha riguardato, tra le altre attività, la partecipazione a fiere di
carattere internazionale con tematica principale sulla protezione ambientale,
la riduzione dell’inquinamento, l’innovazione tecnologica per il trattamento
di rifiuti solidi, reflui ed emissioni nocive, nonché la partecipazione a
tender internazionali relativi a manifestazioni di interesse per consulenze su
tematiche ambientali e studi di fattibilità per impianti di recupero energia
dai rifiuti (waste-to-energy).
I paesi principalmente coinvolti nelle recenti attività estere sono:
- Cina (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Beijing);
- Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty);
- Polonia (Katowice, Czestochowa);

In order to export the system for the management and treatment of urban
waste and promote technology transfer in countries where environmental

technological innovation for the treatment of solid waste, waste water and

Ricerche scientifiche
Nell’ambito delle attività di ricerca e sviluppo portate avanti dal DIMA,
Owac ha recentemente attivato una collaborazione con il Dipartimento
di Ingegneria Meccanica ed Areonautica dell’Università La Sapienza
di Roma, ricevendo il mandato di rappresentarla nella promozione di
attività industriali legate alla produzione ed all’impiego di combustibili
solidi secondari con relativa valorizzazione energetica. Nel dettaglio, la
collaborazione in essere riguarda:
Ricerche inerenti l’innovazione tecnologica nel campo energetico ed
ambientale;
Ricerche nel settore dei materiali nel campo dei trattamenti e della
valorizzazione dei rifiuti urbani e speciali, con particolare riferimento al
recupero di materiali e di energia;
Sperimentazione di nuove attività tecnico scientifiche nel campo del
trattamento dei rifiuti in conformità alla normativa italiana ed europea volte
alla valorizzazione dei rifiuti per la produzione di energia;
Promozione di nuove attività industriali nel territorio asiatico per la
trasformazione dei rifiuti e la produzione di CSS combustibile;
Sviluppo di studi di fattibilità per la promozione e la realizzazione di sistemi
integrati di gestione dei rifiuti nel territorio asiatico;
Formazione di tecnici asiatici da poter impiegare nello sviluppo delle
energie rinnovabili;
Organizzazione di conferenze e work-shop per la promozione delle attività
tecniche svolte al fine di fornire un adeguato orientamento professionale;
Realizzazione di tesi di laurea e stage didattici per l’approfondimento di
particolari aspetti tecnico-scientifici.

As part of the research and development activities carried out by DIMA,
Owac has recently activated a collaboration with the Department of
Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics of the La Sapienza University of
Rome, receiving the mandate to represent it in the promotion of industrial
activities related to production and the use of secondary solid fuels with
relative energy exploitation. In detail, the ongoing collaboration concerns:
Research into technological innovation in the energy and environmental
fields;
Research in the field of materials in the field of treatments and enhancement
of urban and special waste, with particular reference to the recovery of
materials and energy;
Experimentation of new technical and scientific activities in the field of waste
treatment in compliance with Italian and European legislation aimed at the
exploitation of waste for energy production;
Promotion of new industrial activities in the Asian territory for the
transformation of waste and the production of combustible CSS;
Development of feasibility studies for the promotion and implementation of
integrated waste management systems in the Asian territory;
Training of Asian technicians to be used in the development of renewable
energy;
Organization of conferences and work-shops for the promotion of technical
activities carried out in order to provide adequate professional guidance;
Realization of degree theses and didactic internships for the study of
particular technical-scientific aspects.
