The term Hybrid refers to a combination of both traditional air insulated switchgear (AIS) and newer SF6 metal-clad insulated switchgear (GIS) technologies.
The Hybrid switchgear is a self-containing switching module suitable for outdoor and indoor substations.
The Hybrid switchgear utilises existing proven gas insulated switching components but uses a conventional and very reliable AIS bus to connect the various Hybrid modules.
