COURAGE TO CHANGE Everyday you receive many messages, people expressing their
opinions on the television, radio and in conversation. Many
have strong views and make viable cases for why you should
have the same outlook as theirs. God cautions you to be wise
and not believe all you hear. God is straightforward in his ap-
proach to right and wrong, and you can be sure that anything
that contradicts his word is false and destructive. So do not get
caught in the trap of thinking he does not really care what you
do. He will not ignore your unfaithfulness. The Lord has only
the best in mind for your life. So do as He says. He’s worthy of
your obedience.
LOVE IN ACTION We collected over 40 sets of twin sheets for the Latrobe street
mission. Thank you to all who donated. :) The mission is now open
and still needing volunteers to help with continued construction
and cleaning. If you at any time want to help, please contact the
mission.
We are still in need of about 40 syrup and pancake mixes. This will
be needed by this week. Please place by the pantry door and they
will be used in BAM's Christmas boxes.
Please meet with us after services today if you are interested in
buying for a child for Christmas or want to share a monetary
donation for the children. Without us, many of these children will
get nothing for Christmas.
We are being blessed by some huge deliveries from Harvest of
Hope once again and the pantry has been full and overflowing at
times. But our numbers continue to increase for those that are
needing some assistance right now. Our Belpre family is definitely
making a difference in the lives of many. We are also going to
cater a dinner and supper for the pantry clients the week prior to
Christmas during pantry hours. We hope to do this more in the
future. We continue to need help during Tuesday's pantry hours,
if anyone is interested in serving during this time. Our goal is to
free up a volunteer so we can actually have one on one time with
the clients to talk with them about needs and the HOPE they have
in Christ. Please consider helping us in the new year! We could do
so much more to glorify God, but we NEED your help.
