Puravidya Chakravarthi Ven. Ellawala Medhananda Thera presented his latest book Ruhune Yatagiyava Saha Sel Lipi to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees recently. Ven. Ex-civil servant and writer Dr. Leel Gunasekara who authored a book on ‘Buddhism’ presented it to Ven. Panwila Soratha Thera, head of the Sri Soratha Dharmayathanaya, Pelanwattha, Pannipitiya at a Dharmadesana in memory of the late Mrs. Chalet Beneragama, mother of science writer and astronomer, Anura C. The Dr. T.B. Jayah Foundation organised the 122nd birth commemoration Day with a memorial oration at the Colombo Muslim Study Circle auditorium, recently.
