Highlight the imperative verbs (bossy verbs).
If you have permission, make the Rainbow Milk.
Cut out the imperative verb word cards. Place them in the correct order and glue them onto a sheet of paper.
Now, verbally tell a member of your family how to make Rainbow Milk using these imperative verbs. Don’t read directly from the instruction sheet! If possible, have a family member make the Rainbow Milk for themselves while following your instructions.

2. Interview your chosen family member to ask what ingredients they would like.
3. Write your recipe on the worksheet. Remember to use imperative (bossy) verbs.
4. Add at least 2 adverbs to your recipe. For example, Slowly pour the milk into the blender. Carefully sprinkle the crushed nuts over the ice-cream.
5. If you have your parent’s permission, make the recipe for your family member.
6. Extension Task: If you have permission, have a family member video you making the recipe. Pretend you are on a real cooking show and use your best acting voice. Maybe you can share the video with your teacher!

TUESDAY WRITING
Rainbow Milk Experiment
Have you ever seen a rainbow before? If you have, I bet it was in the sky. Did you know that you can make your own rainbow with some milk and a few other
materials? Follow the directions below carefully to find out how!
Directions
1. First, gather your materials.
a. Milk
b. Liquid dish soap
c. Two or more different colours of food colouring
d. A pie plate or some other small, shallow container
2. Next, pour your milk into the container until it is about an inch deep. Watch until there are no bubbles and the milk is still.
3. Then, put a few drops of each colour of food colouring into separate places inside the milk.
4. After that, slowly put some small drops of liquid dish soap into the milk near the food colouring until you see something happen.
5. Once something happens, watch carefully and discuss what you see. Add more drops of soap one at a time if you wish and keep observing.
6. Finally, clean up your materials.

d. Put away the food colouring and dish soap

Throw Tennis
Create a small court either indoors or outdoors with a “net” in the middle. Players must
underarm throw the ball to land in the court on the opponent’s side of the net. The other player must catch the ball after one bounce and return
the ball from where they caught it.
The aim is to win the point by making your opponent miss the catch. You will also win the
point if your opponent throws the ball out or into the net.
Basketball Shootout
Set up a hoop (bucket, basket or empty bin) either
indoors or outdoors and make a large sock ball.
