Our annual meeting will take place Saturday, February 9, 2013,

at 10 a.m. at the Chipley office at 1044 Highway 90 East.

The primary agenda of this year’s meeting is to elect three

members to the Board. The nomination committee consists of

Steve Whittington, Tom Cook and Ed Chadwell.

Nominations are due by Friday, November 9, at 4:00 p.m. You

can pick up a copy of the nomination packet at Community

South or download it online at CommunitySouth.net

CONGRATULATIONS, KRISTAN RILEY!

Kristan Riley, wife and mom of two, was the lucky

winner of our July “Summer Smileage” competition.

By participating in our online Facebook conversation

about our favorite vacation spots and what makes us

smile, Kristan was entered to win four tickets to

Disney – as well as the gas reimbursement for her trip

to Orlando and back.

On August 1, she found out the good news that she

won and stopped by Community South to pick up

her prize package! We can wait to see pictures of

her family’s “Smilestone” moments from Disney!

FINANCIAL KIDBITS

If your kids only see you withdrawing $20 bills from the ATM, they’re going

to think machines hand out money. Make sure they also see you depositing

funds. This will teach them the importance of saving versus spending.

Loose change adds up over time. By encouraging your entire family to put

loose change in a jar at the end of each day, you will be showing your

children the importance of saving for things you want. In a year’s time, this

cash could potentially make a significant contribution to a family vacation.

Encourage your child to come up with creative ways to make money.

Selling lemonade, feeding a neighbor’s pet, etc. Get them excited to make

their own money!
