Children’s Integration Support Services (CISS) � Children’s Integration Support Services (CISS) is a
bilingual program which provides support services to
licensed nursery schools, day care centers, school age
and home child care programs that integrate children
who have special needs between the ages of six weeks
and ten years of age in the City of Ottawa.

The School Support Program of Eastern Ontario � A bilingual program of the Children’s Hospital of
Eastern Ontario (CHEO) funded through the Ministry of
Child and Youth Services (MCYS).
� The goal of the School Support Program is to work
directly with teachers, educational assistants and other
education professionals to enhance supports available to
any student with ASD (including Asperger’s and PDD-
NOS) in publicly funded school boards. Services are
offered through consultation, training, and resource
development.
� Requests for service for the SSP are sent by the School
Boards. Parents cannot refer their child directly to this
service.

Connections for Students: � A bilingual program of the Children’s Hospital of
Eastern Ontario (CHEO) funded through the Ministry of
Child and Youth Services (MCYS).
� Provides services to help facilitate the transition from
IBI to the school setting. These will help your child to
better adapt to the school environment and they will
help educational stakeholders best support your child’s
learning as he or she transitions to school full time.
