1. IntroductionLocal Multi-Agency Community and Child Safety Teams provide timely, coordinated responses to:

Children and families who, in comparison to the other children and families in their community, have greater needs that significantly increase their risk of harm to self and/or others, or are on a trajectory to exceed community standards.

Thematic social issues affecting groups of children and their families in the local community where statutory responses are involved, or highly likely to be involved, to address their needs.

This is achieved through: a shared commitment to work collaboratively to provide for the protection of persons

from imminent risk of harm strategic utilisation of cross Agency data to identify those children and families are

greatest risk of harm and emerging local community trends the provision of timely cross Agency information to inform critical decision making a commitment to operate with flexibility and responsivity in a solutions based

framework the development of Community Action Plans to address thematic issues.
