Sometimes a little communication with your neighbor goes a long way! Let your neighbors know if you are having a gathering at your house and to be on the lookout for cars parked in the street. If your neighbor has a dog barking excessively, a plate of brownies and a friendly notification of the noise usually do the trick. If you have a recreational vehicle and need it parked in your driveway for a day or two to prep for a trip, letting your neighbors and the management company know can avoid the headache of a letter.

Friendly neighbor relations benefit you by living in a peaceful neighborhood, along with neighbors being on the lookout for the well-being of each other. This also helps with deterring crime if everyone is mindful of cars that look like they don’t belong.

Fall Selling Season Begins

rebekahsnipp.com

[email protected]

Rebekah Snipp,

Realtor, ABR, SRES

Direct: 832-814-6120

[email protected] is when the fall selling season begins and heats up through

Thanksgiving. Buyers want to get into their home before Christmas or the New Year to take advantage of the Homestead Exemption that they will receive if they are living in their new home before the New Year begins. Buyers with children also want to be in their home before school starts in January. September is a good time to get your home on the market if you are looking to sell. The fall selling season also makes for a good buying season with the increase in listed homes bringing new buying opportunities. If you are in the market to sell, please give me a call and allow me to show you my proven individualized marketing plan for your home. My marketing plan and sales technique along with my networking has allowed me to sell more homes in Eagle Springs than anyone else. Eagle Springs is the main focus of my real estate business and I continue to be involved in the Eagle Springs Community.

I have written about many tips and home maintenance items in past newsletters including the need to service your HVAC system on an annual basis and the need to landscape to increase the curb appeal of your home. We have seen an increase in rodent activity mentioned in home inspection reports. With all the drainage ditches and trees in the neighborhood, squirrels and other varmints can become a problem. Please inspect your attic for this type of activity and if found, call a company such as ABC Pest Control to eliminate the problem and seal your home.

I take “Building Clients for Life While Giving back to the Community” seriously. From The Rebekah Snipp Scholarship Program to area high school seniors, to sponsoring activities or teams in Eagle Springs, to helping homeowners buy and sell homes, Eagle Springs is an important community to me personally.

I have many friends in the neighborhood and hope to meet those that I have not met.

If there is a subject relating to real estate that you or anyone else would like for me to touch on in my Newsletter page. Please let me know.

Thank you to everyone that has trusted in my real estate business. Respectfully,Rebekah Snipp

We realize you have a choice so we appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. Building clients for life while giving back to the community in order to make a difference!

Upcoming Kids

TriathlonOn September 19, 2015, Eagle Springs will host our annual kids triathlon.

This is our 5th year and we expect roughly 200 children to compete! Most of these are residents of our community – your neighbors and friends. Our young Eagle Springs athletes will be competing to finish their swim, bike, and run event quickly. They will start at 8 am in the Athletic Club Pool. The celebration area (in the sports complex) will include inflatables, music, door prizes, and more. We will award the top children in each age group and you won’t want to miss the excitement.

Come out and cheer on your child or a friend’s! Join us in the sports complex or anywhere along Eagle Springs Parkway or near the pool for some of the excitement as Eagle Springs young residents showcase their athletic ability.

Volunteers are needed: If you can help with ...... handing out packets the week before the event, early morning setup prior to the event, setting up the pool and transition area the day before, ensuring kids have their helmets on before getting on their bike, helping direct children to stay on the route, helping children who need some extra encouragement, directing car traffic away from our children, ensuring safety of children on jump houses, helping tie shoes for youngest children, telling kids when it is their turn to start the swim, or helping collect timing chips at the finish line ...... we need YOU! Email [email protected] if you can help. We are still looking for some door prizes. If you have a donation of a door prize or know a business you can ask for us, please contact us at [email protected]

Event Road and Amenity ClosurePool and Sports Complex:

The Athletic Club pool will be used for this event, starting at 8 am and will reopen at 1 pm.

The finish line will be on the soccer field at the Sports Complex.  The sports complex fields will be closed until 1 pm.

Parking will not be available at the sports complex, pool, or elementary school until completion of the event.  Parking is available at the Church of Latter Day Saints across Will Clayton Parkway.

The fitness center will be open but there will be no parking there until completion of the event.

The onsite office will be closed the entire day and will reopen the following Monday.

Road Closures between 6 am and 1 pm: Eagle Springs Parkway will be closed between Valley Lodge and Will Clayton

Parkway – traffic will detour through alternate routes marked with signage. Traffic on Will Clayton Parkway will have the ability to continue in both

directions but will be limited in lane usage and at slower speeds. Exiting from White Mountain to Will Clayton Parkway will not be possible

but alternate routes to exit the Cottage Grove and Preston Village areas will be marked with signage.

As a reminder, the cones, barricades, signs and barrels are placed specifically for the safety of our participating children and the residents of this community. Please do NOT move them for any reasons. Alternate routes / detours are noted with appropriate signage.

Neighborhood Night Out Registration is Here!

Neighborhood Night Out is a night we focus on getting out to meet each other, in an effort to deter criminal mischief. Our date this year is the evening of October 3rd, starting at 6 pm.

NNO started as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

It’s time to register your street for our upcoming NNO celebration! Registering your party will entitle you to an incentive pack and to be registered for a lottery of prizes to be distributed for NNO parties. Prizes include inflatables, gift cards to be used towards the party, free pizza, and so much more! The lottery will be held on September 26th at the Eagle Springs Clubhouse during office hours. Stay tuned to InsideEagleSprings.com for lottery prize updates.

Residents can register one street or a group of streets, but streets can only be registered once. Please collaborate with your neighbors to designate street captains.

We will still carry on the tradition of hosting “Movie Night on the Green” for the neighborhood with the largest percentage of participating streets. The winning neighborhood will enjoy a movie, free popcorn and refreshments courtesy of ESCA.

More information and registration can be found on InsideEagleSprings.com.

September 12th, 8 am – noon

Modern Square Dancing and Round Dancing are dancing and thinking. Moving in rhythm to the music keeps you physically fit. All of the experts agree, your doctor will tell you that aerobic exercises are the best. Studies using pedometers have shown most dancers can walk up to five miles in a single night. And, according to Mayo’s Cardiovascular Health Clinic, dancing burns 200-400 calories in 30 minutes. It’s a weight-bearing form of exercise that helps coordination and balance, improves endurance and cardiac function and helps keep muscles toned and healthy. Learning the basic steps is as easy as walking. Each arm turn brings a surprise.

New dancers take a series of lesson at our club. Soon you will be dancing with ease. Learning to square dance is an enjoyable excursion into something new and different involving active participation of heart, mind, and body.

It’s the New Generation of DancingIt’s time to erase the old image you might have of square dancing

from your school days or TV. Today’s dancing is done to great music from the best of Country and Western to the latest Pop tunes. There are new dance steps – exciting new patterns to learn. Just ask the folks at MIT. They have one of the largest square dance clubs around.

No matter where in the world you might travel, chances are you will find a place to meet new folks through dancing. Best yet – the calls are always done in English throughout 18 different countries including the Far East and Europe!

Square dancing, Round dancing, and clogging have been the best kept secrets in town. It’s time you opened the door and let the great benefits they offer enhance your life.

If you have ever square danced, would like to learn square dancing, or would like to come and view square dancing, the Wildcatters Squares dance every Thursday night at the Humble Activity Center, 1401 South Houston Avenue, Humble, Texas from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. In the fall we conduct lessons for beginning Square Dance. Our dances are smoke and alcohol free! This year our FREE Intro to Square Dancing dances will be at 7:30 pm on Sept. 17th and 24th.

Square dancing is a mental & physical challenge. Reacting to the calls keeps you on your toes, as no one knows what move will be called next. Your mind focuses on dancing because you need total concentration to follow the calls. Learning is easy. The square dance caller teaches you the moves and the names of the calls that you dance. You practice these until they feel as natural as walking. Then, your caller combines the moves into whole dance patterns. You simply follow the calls. There is never a question about making up moves, or whether your partner can follow your lead.

Wildcatter Squares extends an invitation to everyone wanting to have fun, exercise, stay young, and make new friends! We will have

Exercise And Have Fun Too…

FREE fun nights / Intro to Square Dancing on Sept. 17th and 24th at 7:30 pm. These are designed to get acquainted and learn simple beginner moves. For more information please call Dave or Vicky at 281-883-4310, or Sandy at 281-744-7790. You can also check out our web page at wildcattersquares.com.
