COMMUNITIES COMING TOGETHER EMERGENCY CARE FOR ESSENTIAL WORKERS Our communities are strongest together. With support from the United Way of Central Indiana and the City of Indianapolis, childcare agencies from around the city are proud to join together to provide emergency care for our community’s most essential workers, including EMS, police department, fire department, health department, and hospital employees. LOCATIONS* Broad Ripple High School Care provided by AYS- At Your School Benjamin Harrison YMCA Care provided by the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis *As need grows, additional locations will be added. AGES 5 - 12 yrs For temporary care for ages 0-4 yrs, contact Early Learning Indiana’s enrollment specialist at (317) 344-9367. DATES Starting Wednesday, March 25 HOURS COST M - F, 6am - 8pm $50/day per child DROP-OFF INFORMATION Each child must be fever and symptom free to attend. A screening process with the following questions will be completed as each child is signed in: Do you have a fever, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, and/or a sore throat? Have you been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19? CHILD SAFETY The safety of participants and families is our top priority. Here are the ways we will work to keep everyone healthy. Children will wash their hands upon entering the program daily. Drop-off/pick-up will take place curbside to avoid unnecessary contact. Children will play in small groups (10 or fewer kids to 1 staff). The space will be sanitized daily. Toys/supplies will remain separated by groups throughout the day. ACTIVITIES Participants will receive support to complete any e-Learning assignments, along with engaging and hands-on activities led by experienced staff. Children should bring any needed materials to complete e-Learning assignments, including any devices. MEDICATIONS Please bring any needed medication in a bag with a prescription label. A form will need to be completed at registration.
