Like the title shows already we are separating this training into two parts, resulting in the third, last part. We start with dealing with communication, then with culture and how we are successful in dealing with both topics and then also cross cultural communication1

NB: 70% of what we communicate when talking directly with others is through paralanguage.
Paralanguage: refers to messages we give and receive through the above-mentioned means Kinesics: body language facial expression, gestures, posturesTone and character of voice: e.g. rising voice at the end means question or uncertaintyProxemics: interaction distances when talkingClothing: could represent certain occasion, certain situation, certain culture, certain status, certain profession4
Excercise: What do the pictures communicate?
10 minutes to write keywords to the pictures. What do the pictures say? What do they show you?5
Discuss: Are there possible problems when communicating? If yes, what problems?
We have now a rough idea of what communication means and that it contains a lot more than just talking or writing.Do you think there can be some problems when communicating, if so which problems?6
