Continue until you see Station Road on your right and a farm drive on your left about 100 meters from Station Road. Follow directions A-C for the off-road route shown on the map with a dashed line or to stay on-road go to direction 10. A For the off-road route, take the farm track to the left and travel east until you reach the house at the end of the drive B Turn right before you reach the farm house, and head north along the side of the hedge. Stay with this hedge until you come to a small section of woodland. C Take the path straight through the woods. When you are finished in Mackworth Village, reverse your course and approach the A52 from Church Lane. 12 Continue on the A52 until you reach a turning for Markeaton Street on you left. 13 Follow Markeaton Lane until you reach the entrance to the car park where you began. Follow this lane until you reach Lodge Lane on your left. 7 Take the left hand turning into Lodge Lane continuing until you reach the T-junction with Flagshaw Lane. 8 Turn left onto Flagshaw Lane and head south until you reach the A52. Kedleston Hall Kedleston Hall was built between 1759 and 1765 for the Curzon family, who have lived in the area since the 12th Century. Exhibiting the least-altered sequence of Robert Adam interiors in England, with magnificent state rooms and a fine art collection, the Hall is surrounded by 820 acres of historic parkland, with beautiful series of lakes and cascades. Visit the restored 18th century pleasure gardens and view All Saints’ Church which is all that remains of the medieval hamlet of Kedleston. The Hall has toilets, food, and outside seating, making it an ideal rest stop. For more information on Kedleston Hall, visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk Mackworth Village The small village of Mackworth is built around a quiet lane on the opposite side of the A52 from the Mackworth Estate. In the village there are a couple of buildings of historical interest, the Parish Church of All Saints, the remains of Mackworth Castle and a nineteenth century school house. The school house is a polychromatic brickwork, in the style of William Butterfield. All that remains of the castle is the 15th Century turreted gatehouse, which stands as the entrance to one of the farms in the village. A For the off-road route, take the farm track to the left and travel east until you reach the house at the end of the drive

B Turn right before you reach the farm house, and head north along the side of the hedge. Stay with this hedge until you come to a small section of woodland.
