1. SIGN OF THE CROSS (short) In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

SIGN OF THE CROSS (long) In the sign of the Holy Cross, protect us from our enemies, O Lord, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

3. OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN (PRAYER OF THE LORD) Our Father in heaven, Holy be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Do not bring us to the test, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

9. HAIL HOLY QUEEN (SALVE REGINA) Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears; turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. 10. THE MEMORARE: PRAYER OF ST. BERNARD Remember, O most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help and sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother, to you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen

11. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS 1. I am the Lord your God; you shall have no other gods before me. 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God in vain. 3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 4. Honour your father and your mother. 5. You shall not kill. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. 9. You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife. 10. You shall not covet your neighbour’s goods.

The Ten Commandments may be reduced to two commandments 1. You shall love the Lord your God above all. 2. You shall love your neighbour as yourself.

12. THE FIVE PRECEPTS OF THE CHURCH. 1. You shall attend Holy Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation. You must not do prohibited

jobs on those days. 2. You shall confess your sins at least once a year and receive Holy Communion at least during the

Easter season. 3. You shall keep fasting and abstinence on the days fixed by the Church. 4. You shall not celebrate marriage in forbidden periods and with forbidden people. 5. You shall contribute to the support of the Church and the pastors according to the norms of

the Church.

THE NICENE’S CREED We believe in one God, the Father almighty/ Creator of all things visible and invisible/ and in one Lord Jesus Christ/ the only begotten son of God/ the first born of all creatures/ born of the Father before all ages/ and not made/ true God from true God/ consubstantial with the Father/ through him the worlds were formed and all things were created. For the sake of us men/ and for our salvation he came down from heaven/ and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit/ and was conceived and born of the Virgin Mary/ and became man. He suffered and was crucified in the days of Pontius Pilate/ died and was buried/ and on the third day he rose again/ as it is written. He ascended into heaven, / and sits at the right hand of his Father. / He will come again to judge the dead and the living. / We believe in one Holy Spirit, / the spirit of truth / the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the son / and in one, Holy apostolic and catholic Church. / We confess one baptism for the remission of sins/ resurrection of the body/ and life everlasting. Amen.

ACT OF CONTRITION O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell, but most of all because I offended You my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life, Amen.

(II) The seven spiritual works of Mercy: 8. To admonish the sinner 9. To instruct the ignorant 10. To counsel the doubtful 11. To comfort the sorrowful 12. To bear wrongs patiently 13. To forgive all injuries 14. To pray for the living and the dead.

20. THE BEATITUDES 1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 2. Blessed are the meek, for they shall possess the earth. 3. Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 4. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied. 5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 6. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God. 7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. 8. Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.

OPENING PRAYER OF THE ROSARY O God Almighty Lord! You are the embodiment of all immeasurable goodness. We are unworthy to pray before your eternal Glory and Honor, because we are wretched humans and ungrateful sinners. Yet, trusting in your everlasting mercy we are eager to pray this rosary for the praise and glory of the Holy Mother of God. (The Joyful Mysteries are said on Monday and Saturday throughout the year and the Sundays of Advent) 1. The Annunciation Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Angel Gabriel saluted our Blessed Lady with the title "Full of grace," and declared to her the Incarnation of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 1 Our Father…, 10 Hail Mary…, 1 Glory be …O my Jesus 2. The Visitation Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary, understanding from the Angel that her cousin, Elizabeth had conceived, went with haste into the mountains of Judea to visit her, and remained with her about three months. 1 Our Father…, 10 Hail Mary…, 1 Glory be …O my Jesus… 3. THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES (The Glorious Mysteries are said on Wednesday throughout the year and Sunday after Easter, until Advent.) 1. The Resurrection Let us contemplate in this mystery how Our Lord Jesus Christ, triumphing over death, rose again the third day, glorious and immortal. 1 Our Father…, 10 Hail Mary…, 1 Glory be … O my Jesus… 2. OFFERING OF THE ROSARY

Saint Michael, the Archangel, Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael, Blessed Saint Joseph – the foster father of Jesus, apostles Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint John and Saint Thomas, even though we are miserable sinners we pray to you to offer this prayer at the feet of the Holy Mother of God, along with your songs of praise.
