SAFETY SHARE • DRIVING SAFETY – Always Appropriate

• Whether on the job, at home or even vacation, it is always appropriate to remember road safety. As a reminder, safe drivers always exercise the following: • Full Attention – Avoid distractions

• Cell phones – If there is an absolute need to use the cell, use a hands free device and keep both hands available for steering

• Radio – Keep volume at a level which makes it easy to hear sounds outside the vehicle, in case an emergency should arise

• Eating/Drinking or any activity which causes the driver to not have both hands available for steering and controlling the vehicle is a hazard; postpone eating for the end of the trip

• Other Passengers – avoid taking your eyes of the road to speak (or yell at) children, or other members in the car

• Continually search roadway for situations that may require quick action

• Keep your cool in traffic

• Be patient and courteous
