Diabetes ServicesOur Diabetes Center is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and offers a comprehensive “Program of Excellence” composed of all areas of professional practice. H.E.L.P. Healthy Eating Lifestyle Program 6 Week programProgram is designed to help overweight children ages 5-12 and their families to adopt healthier eating lifestyles and increase physical activity.

Senior Services White Memorial in collaboration with the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) offers senior citizens 60 years of age or older, on-site as well as over the phone, information, assistance, resources, referrals to agencies and programs based on individual needs including:

• Taxi Coupons and Bus Tokens.

• Assistance with completion and translation of forms: Social Security forms, Medicare, home energy applications, etc.

• Referrals: Immigration, meal sites, senior housing, social/ recreational activities, Social Security, home delivered meals, legal services, Home Secure Program, Handy Worker Program, other transportation needs.

Transporte Gratuito Ofrecemos transporte gratuito para citas médicas programadas entre las 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. en nuestro hospital. Nuestros conductores lo recogerán en su casa si vive entre 5 millas de nuestro hospital y llevaran de regreso a casa cuando haya terminado su cita. Vales para el taxi pueden ser ofrecidos en ciertos momentos cuando el van de transporte no esté disponible. *El transporte necesita ser programado 1 semana antes de su cita. Transporte para tu parto.Transporte gratuito está disponible para su parto en el Centro de Partos de White Memorial para usted y dos acompañantes adultos. El servicio está disponible las 24 horas al día entre 10 y 15 millas de nuestro hospital.

White Memorial Little Angels Support Group/RTS Coping with a miscarriage or loss of an infant?

is a free service to help families cope and heal from their loss. A pregnancy loss may include a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy or still birth, or a loss that occurs in utero, during birth or shortly after birth. The group is made up of families that have been through a similar experience. The friendships you form will help you heal. No need to register.

Free Maternity ToursGet all the information you need as you decide where to have your new baby. Participants will tour the private labor, delivery and recovery (LDR) rooms and the maternity area where mother and baby stay after delivery. Every mom receives a gift! SAFE SURRENDER BABY LAWWhite Memorial is a Safe Surrender Site: A confidential safe haven for newborns. Parents are permitted to bring a baby within three days of birth to any hospital emergency room or other designated safe haven in California. The baby will be placed in a foster or pre-adoptive home.

THE ABC’s of Infant CPR & Safety (WEDNESDAYS)Learn CPR and other life-saving techniques and tips on how to make your care and home a safer place for your new baby. Topics include CPR, car seat and crib safety, choking, burns, drowning and childproofing the home. Class is available for all child caregivers (parents, siblings, grandparents, baby sitters, etc.).

Welcome Baby Free program for pregnant women who deliver at White Memorial, offering support, information, resources and gifts at each home visit from a professionally trained Parent Coach who will help answer your concerns and questions regarding your baby and family. Mothers also receive a follow up visit at the hospital bedside and one visit by a Registered Nurse after discharge. If you live within zip codes 90022, 90023, 90040, 90063, 90201, 90202, 90255, and 90270 you may be eligible. Mothers may enroll at any time during pregnancy.
