GATHERING WORDS OF INSPIRATION Breathe your story of death and life that our story may be submitted to your will for life. We pray in the name of Jesus risen to new life - and him crucified.

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION We welcome you into our midst, here on this Palm Sunday morning, just as the people of Jerusalem welcomed you way back when in bible times! Teach us your ways, Lord, that we too might conquer that which makes us less than pure. Assist us to proclaim your glory. Enable us to follow your example in the interactions we have with each other. We confess that we are all too quick to shout: “Hosanna! Hosanna!” How easy it is to be carried by the crowd. And we confess that if we were present in those bible times, rather than in our present day, we too would likely, all too soon, change our cries to “Crucify! Crucify!” Have mercy, Lord. Forgive us, Lord. And guide us in your paths. In our prayers renew us and transform us, we ask! Enter our hearts, our minds, our souls today, that your kingdom might come amongst us. Hosanna! Hosanna! Amen *SILENT PRAYER *ASSURANCE OF PARDON One: The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. I declare to

you, in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! Many: Thanks be to God! Amen. *PASSING OF THE PEACE One: The Peace of Christ be with you. Many: And also with you…

(Please greet your neighbors with a handshake, a hug, or another sign of peace saying, "The peace of Christ be with you.”)
