Come, Follow Me for Primary: Week 4 - January 21–27
John 1 "We Have Found the Messiah"YOUNGER CHILDREN
Lesson Packet for Latter-day Saints by LovePrayTeach.com
Preparation:When preparing these lesson helps we follow the lesson outline closely. We will never vary from the doctrine
taught in the lesson outline. It is important that you always read through the lesson and all of the suggested
scriptures. Then read through the helps we have provided and pray about which activities will be the most
beneficial to your class. As always follow the guidance of the Spirit. The thing I love most about the Come,
Follow Me format is that it is designed for the kids to take an active role in their learning. We have designed
our lesson helps to help facilitate a lesson full of thought and discussion. In your preparation be sure to leave
time for the kids to share ideas, questions, and experiences!
You will only have 20 minutes to teach, so choose which part of the scriptures you'd like to teach and use the
activities below to help you.
Creation Scavenger Hunt:Take the children for a walk around outside to find evidence of Jesus' creation!
You can make some toilet paper roll binoculars if you want to get creative! Let
the children decorate them with stickers and/or markers.
Give each child a worksheet and have them draw pictures of things they see that Jesus created!
If you want, you could draw pictures in the circles of things that the kids will see around your church building.
Then when they find one, they can cross it off. The first person to find all 8 wins!
(If it's too cold to go outside, let the children look through the window or the doors.)

the children about each creation that Jesus made on each day as they color the pictures. On day 7, have
them draw a picture of something they like to do on the Sabbath day!
Missionary Game:To help the children learn how they can be
missionaries like the apostles in John 1, play
this fun game! Print the game board on 2
pages, then tape them together on the back.
Bring a game piece for each child (you can use
pieces from other games you have at home or
buttons.) Have a child pick a card and follow
the instructions. There are blank cards if you'd
like to add your own!
Creation Coloring Book:Make a little coloring book for each child by cutting out each day and stapling the packet together. Teach
Give each child a missionary name tag to wear home!
(The church does not allow copies of what the
missionary tags look like. They have asked us to have
them say something else. We hope you like these
ones!)

Give each child one of the handout's below as they leave the classroom. We will be including these each
week so use them however you'd like! You can have the children bring them back to class each Sunday or
give them to their parents for a fun activity during family scripture time that week! There is also a full page
handout included if you'd like to make them into a journal folder for the children.
