Hi Everyone
Last week I attended the Trust Power Community Awards.
It was great to see such an enthusiastic team from Trust
Power, but even better to be amongst those who do such
amazing work in our community. A very special
congratulations to the Grumpy Old Men Enterprise team
who won the Supreme Award. For those who don’t know
about them, I will try to get one of the very humble men to
write a little piece for our next Com.Chat. Well done guys
and good luck at the Trust Power National Awards in
Queenstown next year. Congratulations to all those
organisations who received awards, but really you are all
winners. Well done and best wishes to the Youth Award
recipient Macey Duxfield, from Cullinane College also.
I have received an email yesterday giving new dates for the
next Lottery Community Round. If you are applying to
this fund the opening date is now 25 October, closing 6
December with the meeting being held in March. Good luck
to those applying.
A reminder – we are currently updating our database of
Community Groups in our region so a big thanks to all
who have noted their changes and returned these to us. If
you have had a bright yellow form sent to you and you
haven’t returned it, please can you get it in the mail asap.
If you are part of a group who hasn’t had a form, that
means we don’t have you on our database yet and we would
love to hear from you, so please contact as – details below.
The database is now available and is searchable on our
webpage www.communityhouse.org.nz, click on the
database tab.
