Whether you are looking for a 1-2-1 peripatetic instrumental teacher or a tutor to take ensemble rehearsals we have the facilities to help you achieve your musical ambitions! About Us

History Stephen and David Partridge founded Partridge Brothers’ Music Tuition in 2010, with the aim of providing high quality music lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Since then we have had much success in all of our exam seasons having a 100% pass rate. We now operate from two locations, including a set of custom-built teaching studios in Sutton Coldfield at The Mitchell Centre and a studio in West Bromwich. We now provide 5000 individual lessons per year. Experience We have much experience working with people of all ages, including those of nursery, school and college age. We are regularly called upon to rehearse school ensembles including choirs and instrumental ensembles and have worked extensively with those with specific educational needs. Quality All of our tutors have at least a degree level qualification in their specialist field and are also regular performers. Which allows an incite into the world of music making which would otherwise be difficult to obtain. Safety All of our tutors are subject to the appropriate DBS check and tutors will be more than happy to present you with their certificate for inspection by your staff. We also expect our teachers to follow any safeguarding procedures required by the hiring institution.

We offer a Wide Range of Instrumental Lessons

Thanks to our comprehensive list of experienced tutors we can offer a wide range of instrumental lessons, in a multitude of different styles and genres. Our list of available instruments includes:

This list is ever expanding, so if you don’t see an instrument here which you are looking for, feel free to contact us and we will source a suitable tutor for you. Instrument Rental We have the facility to rent out a selection of instruments to your institution. This, unlike other service providers is not included in the price of lessons, so that we may accommodate students who wish to have their own instrument or those institutions that may already have instruments in their possession. If you would be interested in this, please feel free to contact us, as prices vary depending on individual requirements. N.B. Instrumental hire is only available to institutions who use us as their music lessons provider.

Types of Instrumental Lessons

We offer three types of instrumental lessons; 1-2-1 lessons The student typically has around a 30-minute lesson. This is suitable for all levels of development, but particularly useful for those advancing through the grades. Small Group Lessons Up to 3 students can learn at the same time. This is suitable for beginners until around grade 2. Group lessons These can be considered as a way of gaging interest in learning a musical instrument. They also allow for developing teambuilding skills as it is expected that the students, with guidance from the tutor will help one another.

Other Services

Alongside our high quality music lessons, we also offer a range of other music-based services. These are listed below; Ensemble Director: We can provide a director for your ensemble. This can come in the form of anything from, string quartet coaching all the way up to a conductor for your wind band or orchestra. We can even source suitable music for your ensemble to play, reducing the burden on the school budget. (Any library hire fees are payable by the institution) Ensemble Director Hire: £35/Hour (including performances) Music Workshops: We can present a themed workshop to either a class or even a whole school to introduce musical concepts. These can range from music fundamentals such as rhythm and pitch or can cover music history and theory. Prices vary depending on the content and the number of musicians required. Please call for more details. (Prices start at £100) Accompanist: We can provide a competent pianist for any purpose, from internal performances and assessments to concerts and exams. If required we can also provide a digital piano, all we require is an electricity supply. Accompanist Hire: £27/Hour Piano Hire (If required): £2.50/hour Sheet Music Supplier: Thank to our association with Music Sales Limited, we can provide you with a wide selection of music for any of your projects and or lessons. If used in conjunction with any of our other services, we can offer you a 5% discount on sheet music purchase. Contact us for more details. Music Specialist: We can offer a music specialist teacher for your institution. All music specialists will have at least a Bachelors Degree, so will be more than happy to teach all levels, up to and including A Level. Pricing for this service will be based upon the individual requirements of the institution. Please contact us for more details.
