Car Show/Craft Fair
held on Sunday July 15th at
The Hudson Waterfront Park
had a large turnout of vintage and mus-
cle cars as well as a very good
turnout of craft vendors. This was
especially noteworthy in view of the weather threat. The
entertainment was very good and the food was notewor-
thy. The negative of the day was the impact that the
weather had on public attendance
(estimated 600+ people were on the
grounds of the park).
Cars from pre-
1910 to present filled the entire
street at the Riverfront Park. craft
vendors selling handmade mer-
chandise were busy with the
inquisitive people visiting their booths. The music was also
varied and representative of the cars’ era.
Food offerings included hot dogs, hamburgers/
cheeseburgers, pepperoni, sausage & peppers, chicken
cutlet, meatballs, fried dough, ice cream, soda and water
were available at the food booth, all reasonably priced.
The overall tone
was upbeat and
merry !

BOCCE COURTS
(AND RECREATION AREA)
We all love the game of Bocce!!!
As most of you know, we lost our two bocce courts from the landslide in 2006. Because of that it has
been a long 6 years since we held the
Rocky Romano Bocce Tournament.
We are now on the road of recovery. We received a $5000 grant from the Gal-Van Foundation to rebuild a new recreation area to the left of our building. With these funds we laid gravel in an area behind and to the side of our building. With the total dedication
and efforts of Richard Concra, two buildings are be-ing constructed--a kitchen/food preparation building and a 2 room restroom building. Both structures are up, now the work begins on the inside. Stop by our
property to see the progress.
We also received donations from 3 individuals to erect 3 of the 4 new bocce courts. The three courts
will be in memory of Carl Florio, Sr., The Russo/Cariseo Family and the Michael and Dawn Bucci and
Phil and Christine Abitabile family.
We thank our generous friends.
We still need funding for one more court. If anyone
would like to finance a court in memory of loved ones
contact either Phil Abitabile or Richard Concra. We are asking for a $1000 donation for the construction
of each bocce court.
Rocky Romano Bocce Tournament
Our original plans were to resume the Rocky Romano Bocce Tournament in August of this year. But due to the added work and time that will be required to re-pair the damage to our building and property from
the hail storm of June 22, we need to concentrate on
the building.
When the tournament resumes, we want to be proud of a completed bocce and recreation area. Our goal is
to sponsor the bocce tournament in the spring or
early summer of 2013.

The Great Cupcake Bake Off.
In memory of Anna Riozzi
Some of you may remember Anna as a fun loving active member of our lodge.
Anna passed away in May of 2011 She would call me (her cousin) to make sure I did her hair because
she had to look good for her lodge.
I thought it would be nice to do something that would honor her memory.
Anna and I would always exchange baking recipes. She loved to bake. So I came up
with this fun idea she would have loved.
The Great Cupcake Bake Off
All money earned will go back to our lodge in her name. Our goal is to make $1000.00
We will issue out 150 tickets at a $5 donation. Each baker or anyone can sell off 10 tickets. No sales at the door. We will also sell off everyone’s cupcakes and make money from our raffle basket. I’m look-
ing for bakers! I need at least 12. Please call me and I’ll give you all the details. It will take place in the
fall when it’s cooler to run your ovens.
It will be a great social gathering for us to get to know one another and just have fun. There will be door prizes and raffles for our guests and they will get to sample 6 different cupcakes and vote on the best baker’s display. Please call me or email me if
your interested in being a baker and I’ll give you all the information. If you’d like to purchase a ticket,
call me at-
