The industrial wood is the one used in the manufacture of forest products, including among others pulp and paper, lumber and panels. This category excludes wood used as fuel.
In Latina America from 1960 to 2010 per capita industrial wood consumption increased by 2.67 times.

COLOMBIA imports Wood and Products WITHOUT legal controls
-Resolución 070 of 10 -04- 2014.

ILLEGAL
We currently do not have statistics on the illegal wood trade in Colombia. NGOs such as WWF estimate that illegal timber makes up over 40% of all timber traded in Colombia.

Current Latin American market u € 600 million for Latin America.
Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change
u $348 million USD cooperation for forest management
Latin American countries are also investing $millions to control costs, f o r f e i t u r e , a n d t h e h u g e investment of entrepreneurs and producers to be legal.
However as long as Latin America imports wood products without legality control then all this good will, effort and investment is at risk. 9
We propose we need a: u Reglamento Latinoamericano relativo
a la comercialización de la madera- RLM
u Latin American regulation on the marketing of wood- LARW
