Delaware Center for Teacher Education

• Worked with teachers in 14 districts and 13 charter schools to improve teaching of reading, writing or social studies

• Redesigned process for collecting professional education data to make analysis and dissemination of candidate and unit-level data more accessible to faculty and administrators

Delaware Academy for School Leadership

• Partnered with the Professional Development Educational Research Institute in Hawaii to provide training and support to school leaders in Hawaii’s public schools.

• Launched an Executive Leadership Academy to help prepare principals and district level administrators who aspire to the position of superintendent.

Mathematics & Science Education Resource Center

• Provided training on Common Core Content Standards & the Standards of Mathematical Practice to 450 teachers across all 19 Delaware districts

• Launched initiatives to support the development of teacher leadership with a focus on content-based coaching

Delaware Education Research & Development Center

• Received funding for 8 new projects and 2 renewals

• Built partnerships with faculty in all 7 UD colleges

• 3 graduate assistants have been recognized for their research

Human Resources Hub

• Processed 50 new hires, on-boarded 75 supplemental employees, and processed 110 graduate students.

• Created a new on-boarding follow-up program

processed 99 new proposals and 47 new awards.

• Managed 177 current grants and contracts

• Oversee 42 budgets within CEHD

• Completed 11 CEHD websites redesigns– Please note, the SOE URL has

changed to www.education.udel.edu.

• Responded to over 2,000 technical support requests

• Performed 289 daily incremental backups for files and store 2.82 TB of data on their servers.

Office of Student Services• Hosted over 150 admitted

students and their families during the month of April through Senior Visit Day and Delaware Decision Days.  

• Contacted over 600 admitted students for fall 2013  

• Welcomed 234 new undergraduates students in the fall, and 106 new graduate students started this year.
