Financing a College Education: How to Begin Saving on College Now
Presented by Stephanie Hancock, College Aid Consulting
Room 292, Career Center 6:30 – 7:20 p.m. 7:30 – 8:20 p.m. (repeat of same presentation)
Yes, you can still afford a college education. However, the days of waiting until the financial aid package comes out to determine which college you can afford is over. Now, more than ever before, it is extremely important that you save for college. You must also factor in college costs when applying to colleges, but the initial price tag can oftentimes be misleading. This session will teach you how to begin saving, how to be smart with your college fund, and how to figure out what a college education really costs. About Stephanie: One of fewer than 500 Certified College Planning Specialists in the nation, Certified Financial Planner® Professional, Stephanie Hancock offers complimentary speaking engagements to parents of college bound students presenting real life solutions to their college funding questions and dilemmas. She has been interviewed by Kiplinger’s, SmartMoney and Time magazines, as well as the Wall Street Journal about issues specific to college funding. Stephanie can help parents determine the best plan of action when it comes to funding their children’s education. Thanks to her open and inviting dialogue, parents will learn about the financial aid resources available to them as well as strategies to help make college more affordable.
