MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of Star University Academic Health Science Library’s existence is to provide quality, sound, reliable and current health and medical information relevant to the needs of students, faculty and researcher users alike.
VISION STATEMENT 1. Star University Academic Health Science library contains a wealth of frequently sort health and medical information that suites the needs of its clientele. 2. The star University will continuously work to meet the research, educational and patient care information need of faculty, staff and students 3. Provide quality current medical and health information 4. Staff is well motivated and readily available to help students, researchers and faculty. 5. In an effort to serve its clientele efficiently, the health science library will collaborate with other community health science libraries as needed in providing updated health information for students and teachers 6. Utilize staffs that are well knowledgeable in information technology. 7. Assist medical, Nursing and educators in their goal of contributing knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, cure, rehabilitation, and prevention of diseases

Included in The Best Doctors in America, 2nd edition, 1994, 1996. 2. James Lock received his MD from Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital & Clinics and a fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. James Lock's research focused on improving procedures to correct congenital heart defects in infants and children. He has developed and provided the initial descriptions of nearly a dozen new techniques in interventional cardiology

1. Dr. Towbin has published over 270 peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, has been awarded many NIH grants, including a current Program Project Grant and a Cluster Award, and is the recipient of several specific private donations to support his research, as well as receiving many honors nationally and internationally, including the Michael Debakey Excellence in Research Award.
2. Dr. Chang's primary clinical area of research involves myocardial function and performance in the setting of cardiac intensive care. Subareas of interest include pharmacologic agents in the neonate or infant, methods of mechanical support, molecular mechanisms of heart function, cardiopulmonary interaction, catecholamine resistant shock, single ventricle physiology, and technical advances in monitoring for low cardiac output syndrome.
