Please let us know what you think about the information you received, to help us improve our communications. Go online at www.bromley.gov.uk/wastenews to complete the survey. Collection Calendar Please make sure you put your recycling and waste out by 7am on your collection day. Your waste needs to be securely contained and placed at the front of your property within arm’s reach of the pavement, but not on it. If you use a bin for your non-recyclable refuse, please place it in a standard sized sack first. If you are presenting your batteries, small electrical items or textiles for collection, please place separate materials in separate household bags (but not a black sack). Ensure that each bag is loosely tied, and place them next to your green or black containers on collection day. Please only present one small bag each week as we cannot handle high volumes. Please note that our new fleet only collects one recycling material at a time, improving on the efficiency of collections. While all of your recycling and waste will be collected on the same day, some of your collections will be at different times. Ensure you leave out your recycling for our crews to collect until 5pm before reporting a missed collection. Week one Here is your collection calendar, starting in December, showing your recycling and waste collection weeks. This calendar is for residents living in houses only as there are different collection arrangements for residents in flats. A sticky situation While we do accept small amounts of gravy and sauces in your food waste caddy, please do not put large quantities of liquids in your liners. This can cause spillages and mess outside your property, or health and safety issues for our crews. That’s a wrap If you are throwing away broken glass, please wrap it first in an old newspaper, before placing it in your non- recyclable refuse. We cannot accept broken glass in your green box, as it needs to be safely contained. * Collections are made one day later than usual. ** Collections are made two days later than usual. *** Collections are made three days later than usual. Saturday collections as advised.
