Accurate weighing technology for the FMCG industry
SiemensrecommendeditsSITRANSWW200weighfeedersystem that could be fitted easily into the customer’sexisting layout. The weigh feeder is provided withheightedskirtboardand returnscrapperwhichensuresthereisnospillageofthematerial.
This weigh feeder enabled the customer to mix theingredients in accurate proportion to achieve the finalproduct.Thelossofproductionduetoinaccurateadditionshas stopped considerably. As the material handled wascerealflakes,SiemenssuppliedcompleteSSweighfeederwithfoodgradeoilinthesuppliedgearedmotoraccordingto FDA norms in FMCG industry which satisfied thecustomersrequirement.
A leading FMCG company manufacturing cereal flakesrequired a weighing system. It was struggling with anexisting system comprising of vibratory feeders withload cells which were not fulfilling the required levelof accuracy. Consequently, the final productivity wasadverselyaffected.

Management platform that enables secure and simple remote access
Machines canbe connected toSinemaRemoteConnectvia cellular phone networks, DSL or existing privatenetwork infrastructures. Siemensoffers awideportfolioofindustrialroutersfromtheScalanceseries,suchastheScalanceS615,forthispurpose.Thesedevicescaneasilybe parameterized via Sinema Remote Connect using anauto-configuration interface. All the information aboutthe respective machines can be stored in the management platform, meaning that the routers only have to beregisteredonceinSinemaRemoteConnect,afterwhichallconfigurationdataisassignedtothem.Thiseliminatestheotherwisetime-consumingprogrammingofthedevices.
Sinema Remote Connect is a management platformsupplied by Siemens for efficient and secure remoteaccess to globally distributedmachines andplants. Theserver application simplifies not only remote services,suchastheremotemaintenanceofmachinesandplants,but also other remote applications, such as conditionmonitoring.
Sinema Remote Connect manages and authorizesall communication connections.
