"Then who can be saved?" Jesus looked at them
and said, "For human beings
it is impossible, but not for God.
All things are possible for God." -

At this very moment it is evening in Rome, the day will finish with a beautiful and inspiring ceremony as Pope Francis declares Pope Paul VI and Bishop Romero and five other Holy people as Blessed and they become a part of the new saints of the Catholic Calendar. They are models of faith by the way they lived the Gospel and the commandment to love one another. It is my intention to bring every member of our Parish family and your inten-tions into every holy place we will visit on my family Pilgrimage to Rome. As the old adage stated, Oremus at vicendam, pray for one another.
This is one of the ways to build solidly, more and more, our fraternity, as the call of Jesusl resounds in our hearts… “Follow me”. There are many, in the last eighty years, who have done just that, followed Jesus, since we were established as a parish community. They plant-ed a seed which has blossomed beautifully. And today, as we look toward the future, we think about how we can continue answering the challenges of the present time, to fulfill our task as Missionary Disciples, and Wit-ness the Mercy of God. This is the whole rationale be-hind the work of our Parish Leadership in the last year. We will gather ideas, suggestions, and needs in the Lis-tening Sessions we will have next week. I strongly invite all of you to participate in one of them and help us look ahead, in what we are calling “On the 25th for 25”. On Thursday October 25th, we are scheduling different slots of time, to encounter each other, to pray together and to think together about our next 25 years. Obviously, there will be more years, God providing, but for now we look at the next quarter of century in our Strategic Planning Process at Saint Peter.
I will put in my bag the booklet of Saint Peter history and I intend to bring it to Saint Peter’s Basilica, to pray for you, at the foot of the Chair of Saint Peter. More to come as God has something more for you. He has something more for all of us. And we can answer His invitation to follow His Son. Let’s ask our Blessed Mother’s interces-sion, for our families, for our parish, and especially for all the sick in our midst. Saint Peter, Prince of the Apostles … Pray for us! In Jesus love, Fr. Fabio

The 5th and 6th of October, our Knights of Columbus Council 8687 conducted the annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Thanks to the efforts of the Knights and many of our parishioners, this effort raised $2,500. The money will all go to various charities such as The ARC of Allegan County - For People with Developmental Disabilities, Special Olympics and other charities that help those with mental disabilities. Thanks to all those in our community that participated in this worthwhile effort. Despite less than perfect weather, the campaign was very successful. It was a great way to answer our call to love one another.
