News & Notes

Another wonderful year of kindness and generosity from our

collaborative parishes: Thank you to all who made this

year’s Giving Tree another successful collaborative almsgiving

project. More than one trip was necessary for My Brother’s Keeper to

pick up all the many huge bags of gifts for those in need of

Christmas gifts. Seven full bags of blankets and gifts were delivered to residents of Pope Nursing Home and

just as many gifts were delivered to the residents of

Elizabeth Catherine Rest Home. Thank you for making this season of peace and love such a joyous one for

many, many of God’s People.

FIFTH SUNDAY ROSARY

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Fifth Sunday Rosary immediately following the 4PM Mass at Saint Thomas More Church on Saturday, December 28th in the Church. This year, the Rosary will be followed by a Consecration to The Holy Family prayer. All are welcome to pray the Rosary with the Knights on December 28.

Congratulations and thank you

to the students of the Sacred Heart and St. Thomas More

Children's Drama Club for their excellent performance of Elf Jr. last weekend

at Curtain Call Theater in Braintree.

38 children from our parishes presented a delightful production

for three sold out performances!

Thanks also to Toni Ruscio and the folks at Curtain call

for generously sharing their theater with us. Thank you to our parent volunteers

And a very special thank you to Stephanie Aquaviva & Marybeth Brady For all you do to teach Music & the Arts

to our young people!

CHRISTMAS LITURGIES

All altar servers, lectors and Eucharistic Ministers are asked to use the Google document sent to them via email to register for the Mass at which they will be able to serve

on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Collaborative Parishes of Sacred Heart and Saint Thomas More

We ask that you prayerfully consider this method for financially supporting

your parishes:

Online Giving, Weekly Envelopes, Auto Bill Pay assure consistent giving and help us to budget and assure that we can maintain services. While we

are most grateful for any gift that any parishioner can give at any time to help us maintain a more consistent

cash flow, we have established online giving programs at both Sacred Heart

& Saint Thomas More Parishes.

Those parishioners who use the program tell us it is a great help to them.

It allows them to clearly budget the amount that they want to give back to God

and helps them feel assured that their parish is receiving their gift even when

they are out-of-town, too busy to remember an envelope, or attending Mass

at another parish. If you would like to learn more about this easy, safe and secure

way of giving, please call or stop by our Business office or visit our website.

Collaborative Food Pantry Our Food Pantry is located in the hall at St. Thomas More. We are grateful for the many donations we receive each week. Items may be left in the foyers of each Church any time. If you are in need of food, or have any questions kindly call Maureen at the office. Thank you for your continuing generosity!

Urgent Need for

Canned Fruit Juice and Juice Boxes,

Mayonnaise Coffee, Flour, Sugar and Oil.

… and any other items you feel could feed the hungry in our midst

Contact the St. Vincent DePaul conference in the

parish where you live for rent & utilities

assistance.
