I stand up. Do you stand up? COJOWA stands up to bullying!
• Everyone has the right to feel physically and emotionally safe at COJOWA.
• If we work together to stand against bullying, we can help make COJOWA a safe place for everybody.
• All members of COJOWA are expected to demonstrate R.E.A.C.H.E.S. and respect one another’s differences.
COJOWA stands up together:
- On Wednesday, we are going to have a peaceful protest during school and after school to say to the world, COJOWA STANDS UP TO BULLYING!
- All students and parents are going to sign an anti-bullying contract as a promise to end bullying behavior.

Student’s responsibility: I promise that I will not bully my peers. I will stand up for what is right. When I witness bullying, I will be assertive and report it to an adult. I know that whether I am being a bully, supporting a bully, or passively watching someone get bullied, it is my responsibility to stop it.

We understand that Bullying will result in predictable and escalating consequences:
1st Offense: Incident investigated by administration (Mr. Glab, Ms. Gloria, and Ms. Angie) followed by a student conference and parent notification. Incident documented in file.
2nd Offense: Incident investigated by administration. Fun Friday detention will be assigned and student/parent conference scheduled with administration. An individual plan is developed and then signed by student, parent and administration.
3rd Offense: Incident investigated by administration. Student will be assigned an in-school suspension. Student/parent conference scheduled with administration to review individual plan.
Any severe situation will result in a student being sent immediately to the office. Severe behaviors may lead to more serious consequences according to COJOWA policies.
Let’s take a closer look at your responsibility and the consequences
