To plan space allocation, furniture, fixtures and surface finishes.

Purpose:To redesign a space within my clients specifications and to the highest quality, completing both a folio and model of the design.

Constraints: the design must fit in with the budget specified by the client.

A scale model must be completed

The total length of time allocated is 15 weeks

The model can be no larger than an A4 piece of paper

My client has recently purchased a property in Sydney, NSW and is wanting to open a coffee house in the premises.

has three children and has allowed for quite a high budget for the redesigning, not wanting any corners to be cut.

Combined, they create an atmosphere of sophistication, class and elegance, whilst remaining comfortable and approachable.

A concept board helps to convey message and clear up any confusion between the client and designer.

Function:To entice customers to the new business.To make customers feel comfortable and relaxed whilst still offering them services of the highest quality.

Materials:Should not exceed allocated budget.Should be durable and of highest quality,Recycled materials should be considered.

Safety: All processes and finished products should comply with OHS laws.Space should be designed with safety as the primary function. all food preparation areas must include disinfectants and detergents.

Ergonomics:Must be ergonomically friendly to both

client and customer.

PHi culminates the use of straight lines and mellow tones together with today’s current trends.

It uses different tones and hues to create aesthetics and visual appeal.

As I am attempting to blend the ‘old’ with the ‘new,’ PHi has given me examples of how this can be done successfully.
