LIFE CYCLE

capsule.

• It is about 8 mm long and 2 mm wide

• Shell casing is thin and water-impermeable

• Hatching is a synchronous event

• Egg case can sometimes hatch while female is still carry it in its genital atrium

No, if the ootheca is fully matured it will not dry out due to it being water impermeable.
