RECIRCULATING ELECI"ROLESS NICKEL PLATING SOLUTION U.S. Patent 6,245,389. June 12, 2001 K. Horikawa et al., assignors to Nippon Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd., and Meltex, Inc., both of Tokyo, Japan A method of circulating an elec- troless nickel plating solution, which method comprises electro- lessly plating nickel by use of a plating solution having nickel hy- pophosphite contained as a chief chemical material for supplying a plating metal ion and a hypo- phosphorous acid ion acting as a reducing agent; removing the acid from the plating solution that has aged; separating a mother liquor and then desalting by passing it through an electrodialysis cell, cation exchange resin, or reverse osmosis membrane; and adjusting the components of the treated plating solution of and circulating them back for electroless nickel plating; the pH of the plating so- lution having aged is adjusted to 6-9 with a calcium salt to cause calcium phosphite to precipitate and the precipitate is thereafter separated and removed. POWDER FLUIOIZED BED U.S. Patent 6,245,391. June 12, 2001 H. Kawai and M. Yamamoto, assignor's to Nihon Parkerizing Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan A powder coating method compris- ing fluidizing powder coating mate- rial at a bottom of a booth having a coating space; blowing the fluidized powder coating material into the coating space from an opening at a top of the coating space; forming a circulating stream of the powder coating material within the coating space; introducing an object into the coating space; and producing an electric field around the object, whereby the powder coating mate- rial is caused to electrostatically adhere to the object.
