About the Event
As you may be aware that “Coal Summit” started in 2005, has been the preferred platform to deliberate regarding Coal related development for sustainable and competitive energy. The Coal Summit aims to discuss all related issues regarding Coal, Mining and allied industry and present the same to Ministry of Coal, Planning Commission, Ministry of Environment & Forests an agenda for accelerating the growth of the sector.
India Energy Forum, MGMI – Delhi Chapter and ISM Alumni Association, have successfully organized 3 editions of Coal Summits – in 2005, 2007 and 2010 in New Delhi. The earlier editions of the Summits have been highly successful with participation of over 500 numbers of delegates from India and about 20 other countries, with excellent networking opportunities and business development.
The 4th Coal Summit will be organised during 18 -19 September 2012 at Hotel The Ashok, New Delhi, India. Concurrently with the Conference, TAFCON under the aegis of IEF, MGMI and ISMAA will organise COAL SUMMIT EXPO 2012 (CSE) during 18-19 September 2012 at Hotel The Ashok, New Delhi. CSE 2012 will provide an excellent business opportunity for the manufactures of coal, mining and allied industry to showcase their technologies, new initiatives, products and services to the global audience.

MGMI-the Mining Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India, Delhi Chapter is one of the oldest professional Institutes of its kind in Asia having being founded in 1906. It has been organizing conferences and seminars on issues impacting the mineral sciences. MGMI is also a unique, independent, non-profit organization and represents
professionals of the mineral sector as a whole. It is governed by highly qualified and experienced mining engineers, geologists and metallurgists and energy experts.
ISMAA-Indian School of Mines Alumni Association Mineral wealth and value addition to it has always been the yard stick for the affluence of a country. Realising the importance of Mineral wealth the Government of India proposed for an All India Mining Institution financed by the Central Government in 1920 and named it Indian
School of Mines (ISM), which was formally opened by His Excellency The Viceroy Lord thErwin on 9 December, 1926. Today ISM, Dhanbad is a full-fledged University and
produced thousands of high quality Engineer for the Mineral Industry who have made their mark in the International Mineral area. The ISM Alumni Association continues to provide yeoman service to the mineral industry in India as well as abroad with complete dedication and commitment to the mineral industry.
