CNC programmer Seeking an experienced individual to write and develop customized computer-based programs forour large intricate machine shop metal cutting machinery.

Essential job duties include:

• Calculate optimum spindle speed and feed rates for specific machine functions and varioustypes of metal

•

Selects proper cutting tools for maximum efficiency and safety

Supervises set-up and machining during program development and records data

Interfaces with CNC achinists and their supervisors and assists with troubleshooting and

corrective action development

!erifies accuracy of computer output to ensure proper cutting path and final positions

"ecommends and implements cost and #uality improvements to facilitate efficient work flow

&. '$ years programming (-axis and )-axis CNC machines using and * Codes. +nowledge

of asterCam is a must have skill.

,. bility to setup a smooth flowing programming operation including training process

improvement fixtures and troubleshooting.

(. ny formal academic training in machining would be helpful

/. 0xperience with IS1-233& C and S4C is a plus 5uties%

&. 6ork with achining Supervisor to specify e#uipment including lathes mills and tooling

inserts

,. 4rogram CNC machines to meet customer prints(. 5evelop speeds and feeds to most efficiently turn thermal sprayed coatings and steel

substrates

/. ssist in machining department operations including setting up new parts training operators

troubleshooting e#uipment etc.

specifications. Communicates with the #uality department in the launch phase to ensure

efficient set-up and programming.
