Pet tags are made from metals thicker than .020. The heavier guage allows for stamping into the metal with

steel type. These custom shapes are commonly used for licencing.

Cremation Identification Tags are designed for use in crematoriums. Made from 18 gauge, 304 stainless

steel they easily withstand the cremation process. These tags are used and designed to identify and track

remains; thus providing a unique permanent means of identification.

permanent raised letters. Embossed characters remain legible, even when painted over or soiled. These

Nick and Notch tags allow the end user to efficiently batch-print tags as needed. They are supplied in a coil

format, for use in both manual-feed and auto-feed machines. Scored (nicked) tags can be separated into

Printed tags are available in two different styles. First is a tag with an electro-galvanized core, covered with

white paper which provides a durable tag that will not tear or wrinkle, the second is a bare metal tag available

in various colours most suitable for colour coding. These type of tags typically have information printed in a

form-style layout. Variable information can be hand written onto the tag with a marker, a hand stamp or

mechanically marked by embossing.

Utilities and communication companies use pole tags to visibly mark utility poles. These tags are provided in

aluminum which resists weathering and makes the embossed letters highly legible. The one piece

construction will not separate or crack in extreme temperatures.

Municipalities that licence motorized vehicles use customized licence plates. Typical information on the

plates includes name of municipality, type of licence, year for which licence is valid and sequential numbers.

Novelty licence plates are also available for groups and organizations by quotation. For stationary plates

validation stickers are offered for the current year.

Custom metal nameplates provide permanent visible identification of products. Available with or without

mounting holes or pressure-sensitive adhesive backing.

Anodized Aluminum Nameplates The aluminum is chemically treated which allows the colour and design to be permanently captured and

sealed beneath the anodic layer of the plate. This process is available for aluminum only. This plate

weather resistant, resists solvents, gasoline, will not peel, chip, flake off or crack regardless of age; making it

ideal for indoor/outdoor applications.

Etched & Filled Nameplates Surface is chemically etched – colour design is then embedded into plate. The plate is then chemical filled

Fastening Devices are used to attach tags to valves, pump, pipes and other items where a tag cannot be

affixed directly.

Tagging Wire (stainless steel) Available in 1 and 5lb spools or cut to length. Single strand is 24 ga, triple strand 27ga. Other gauges and

materials are available on request.

Lead Seals With or Without Wire Lead seals are available in different sizes with or without wire attached; this makes it convenient for the

creation of custom lengths. Lead seal sizes range from 5/16” – 1/2” dia. Lead seals c\w wire are available in

standard length 6 – 12” long (other lengths on request)

Lead Seal Press Lead seal press crimps wire and disc securely. The discs are supplied blank, but if embossing is required, up

to 4 characters (including space) can be engraved to identify your product code or your company.

Security Seals/Car Seals The Security /Car seal is an 8-1\2” long metal tin plated strap. The ball housing uses a crimp lock which

Priority Grip The stamp grip has been designed to avoid damage to the fingers of the stamp user. It firmly holds various

sizes of stamps in its spring loaded throat, allowing a really hard blow to be struck without the risk of jarring.

Large Fabrications Custom made holders for marking plates. These holders are great for consistent alignment of markings as its configuration tends to eliminate the errors associated with marking multiple pieces of information like heat, grade, thickness and customer information. To mark the operator strikes each stamp individually, this ensures that marks are consistent and in the same location. Interchangeable Steel Type provides the complete answer to part numbering and general purpose

marking of medium and low volume production work. The type is made from finest quality alloy steel,

hardened and tempered to 59-61 Rockwell “C” to give clear, consistent marking though-out its life span.

Flat Type is rectangular in shape for use in hand holders, presses and rollmarking machines.

Segmental Type is also available but is custom made; this style of type has tapered sides and is mostly

used in rotary holders for machine use only.

The character size is designed to produce the clearest impressions and is identical in form to characters in

our standard numbering heads. Available in single pieces or font sets with or without holders.

The Font Set contains a selection of 100 pieces (see chart) economically chosen to provide for most

needs while avoiding duplication of little used characters. Spacers are included and a hand holder if

required. Each set is supplied in a compact plastic box with tweezers for the smaller sizes.

A wide range of holders are available for use by hand in various presses, roll marking machines etc. They

are all designed to take individual pieces of steel type which are freely interchangeable. The type holders

enable a row of characters to be made up in the holders so that the mark can be indented into the work piece

in one blow or pass of the machine, thereby making a neater mark and saving time. Machine holders can

be fitted with various shank sizes to suit any machine.

Machine Holders – There are various configuration of holders available to suit the different applications

and the length of slot determines the number of individual pieces of type that can be inserted. Any length of

slot not used by type is filled using spacing pieces.

Rotary Holders – Uses wedged (segmented) type to efficiently mark flat or round surfaces. This type of

holder is commonly used in the packaging industry.

Dies For Embossing/Debossing Used in the industry for reproducing permanent, legible raised or sunk lettering. The engraving is positioned

on both male/female die blanks for perfect registration. The engraving has the correct degree of draft to

prevent cutting the metal but permits even movement of the material into the female die, thus producing a

desirable and easily read mark.

Roll Dies for Indenting These dies are made from special high speed steel, dies “roll your mark” on flat, beveled, concave or

cylindrical surfaces. The rolling action greatly reduces marking pressure. Dies can be manufactured to your

exact specifications for use on standard roll marking machines, screw

machines, CNC lathes or “tool post” holders.

Press Dies For Indenting

Press dies are usually machined with or without shanks, depending upon the equipment which they must

accommodate. All characters are beveled with the proper degree of draft to absorb shock and provide a

clearer impression and longer life.

Branding Dies and Electric Branding Irons

Branding is the most practical way to mark woods, plastics, rubbers and other non-ferrous products. We can

provide electric branding tools or just custom engraved dies. Branding irons are available in both drill press

and hand held style. The slotted head holder is designed to hold interchangeable characters, however there

are many variables involved in selecting an appropriate iron for your branding needs and would encourage

you to call so we can suggest the suitable equipment for your application.

Manual Hand Held Units Simply constructed but robust, our hand numbering units are quick and easy to use. Suitable for marking all

metals, many plastics etc. For use by hand and hammer or adapted to a press. Marking wheels can be

rotated to any given position and a complete inscription may be changed in seconds.

Automatic Numbering Head Press adapted automatic numbering heads are available. These units are versatile where automatic or

manual advance numbering is required to stamp repetitive sequences such as product code, part numbers,

date codes etc.

The chart below shows the actual inscription lengths for the number of wheels and character size required,

using standard style and spacing. The seven standard sizes are indicated in blue on the chart. Other options

shown; readily supplied from standard parts

Tell tales in the wheel grooves shows the actual characters in the marking position (available on most units)

Numbering units with 1.5mm to 3mm characters can be fitted with interchangeable shanks for hand or

machine use. Standard engraved wheels are 0-9 with one blank station. Wheels with letters, symbols or

repeated characters are available by quote.
