In June 2017, all remaining legacy F-frame circuit breakers and switches will be pending obsolescence. Pending Obsolescence is a formal communication that a product is going to be obsolete. Customers should review and plan for any design updates needed. In June 2019 all legacy F-frame circuit breakers and switches will be obsolete and unavailable for sale. (See Page 2 for more details)

Description of Change (Continued):

PowerPact B 125A Molded Case Circuit Breakers and switches are the designated replacement for Legacy F-frame circuit breaker and switches. PowerPact B features increased capacity, a smaller size in unit mount, same size to ease retrofit in I-Line, EverLink spring-tension lug technology, built-in DIN rail mounting, and a flexible range of field-installable accessories, auxiliaries and operators. Enclosures, while not available today for PowerPact B, will be released in 2018. Though similar or smaller in physical size, many applications may require minor adjustments to current configurations. Consult the catalog for two adapter plates that accommodate; 1) screw mounted substitution of legacy F-frame circuit breakers alone or 2) retrofitting control panel disconnect applications using a 9421 Type L rotary operating mechanisms. A full catalog, brochure, online cross reference tool, cross reference handout, CAD library and product websites are included in this announcement to help ease transition. The online cross reference tool can help to convert catalog references easily and there is also a cross reference handout for manual conversions. The CAD library has a full suite of drawings.
