About the CMRI Christmas Fair

EARLIER this year the CMRI WaggaWagga Committee celebrated its 30thyear of service to The Children’s MedicalResearch Institute.

In this time, they have had thepleasure of raising more than $1,184million towards unlocking the mysteriesof childhood disease.

This year’s fair is Wagga CMRI’s 26thannual event.

As well as welcoming back many oftheir long-time favourite stall holders;this year they have a large number ofnew “friends” to welcome with a varietyof items to delight their supporters.

This year, more than 90 stallholdersfrom across Australia will be convergingat the MTC for the anticpated two dayevent.

WAGGA Forest Nursery will again bepresting a colourful selection of giftsthat grow at this year’s CMRIChristmas Fair.

The nursery has been supplyingquality Australian native plants fromtube stock to advanced sizethroughout Australia for more than 40years.

They are committed to continue thesupply of fresh forestry tubes, as wellas general landscape and exoticplants

Also, as a result of the importanceof water wise plants, Salvia hasbecome a popular choice forlandscapers and the home gardeneralike.

Featured in many publications andtelevision garden segments Salviaplants are gaining a well deservedreputation with a huge variety nowavailable at specialist nurseries.

THE Wagga Wagga Committeeof the Children’s MedicalResearch Institute would like towelcome you to this year’s twoday 26th annual CMRIChristmas Fair at theMurrumbidgee Turf Club startingon Friday, October 25.

This year the Committeecelebrated its 30th year ofservice to CMRI which hasraised more than $1,184 million.

Stacey Clayton is bringing herfamily business KoolamonDesign to the fair for the firsttime. Koolamon Designproduces a range of beautiful

silver jewellery which is handstamped at Koolamon Stationnear Rutherglen. Theirsignature pendants are apopular choice for familiescelebrating the birth of a child oran anniversary.

Returning will be Wombats ofWagga with their great range ofchildren’s toys and books.

Catherine Castelain is againbringing her glorious range ofFrench table cloths to the fair.

Quirky and Quaint is anoriginal, handmade andAustralian designed collection ofchildren’s decor that will exciteand inspire you.

Judith Dowling will once againpresent her range of DowlingCountry natural fibre shirts andjumpers and cardigans.

To brighten the centre of ourfair will be a great range ofplants, brought to us fromWagga Forest Nursery.

Deborah Emmett will againbring from Sydney her range ofcotton and silk kaftans, togetherwith a range of original blockdesign and printed cotton tablecloths; also a range of merinowool and silk scarves.

Under the name of JewelleryBotanical, Sandy Gadd willagain bring her range of antiqueand vintage jewellery – whichshe has repaired, restored,resurrected and repolished.

Sarah Gordon will also haveher range of jewellery design,specialising in sterling and finesilver. ■ To Page 41
