PLANNING & PACKAGES

To have your wedding at Caerula Mar Club, the wedding couple are required to stay with us for a minimum of 5 nights. All guests of the wedding must also be staying at the resort. Arrangements can be made directly with Caerula Mar Club for non-resort guests. Fees will apply.

Caerula Mar offers a number of ceremony packages. Let us help you plan for a day ideally suited to you. All ceremony packages include champagne and canapes on arrival, a bottle of champagne on ceremony day and ceremony night turndown service. All prices are in USD and include taxes, service charge and gratuity.

PARADISE WEDDING PACKAGE: $1,500 Create your dream wedding. YOU AND YOUR GUESTS We are happy to hold a group of 5 or more rooms and provide a discounted room rate for you and your wedding guests provided the wedding couple first reserve their room with a deposit at least three months ahead of the arrival date. Your guests can then be notified of the rates and can book directly with the resort to receive the discounted group rate. Rooms will be released 60 days prior to the arrival date if they have not been reserved with a deposit.

All group bookings receive a complimentary welcome amenity in each guest room upon arrival.

Groups of more than 24 people require a full resort booking.

WEDDING PLANNER Our Caerula Mar wedding planner will assist you with all aspects of your wedding experience including scheduling your wedding date and time, planning events and coordinating all of your wedding details with the utmost care. We are happy to assist your wedding planner of choice.

Enjoy secluded barefoot elegance next to the turquoise ocean in front of your villa. Available only to those reserving the corresponding Signature Collection Private Villa. These locations provide the ultimate in privacy.

Signature Collection Private Villa - Pink Sands for up to 8 seated guests

Signature Collection Private Villa - Emerald Palms for up to 16 seated guests

If reserving both oceanfront villas - Pink Sands and Emerald Palms you may host up to 20 seated guests

Beachfront Circle under towering palms: available to all guests for ceremonies of 2 – 60 guests

Oceanfront Deck: available only with full resort rentals for up to 60 guests

RECEPTION LOCATIONS Lusca dining room is available for intimate dinners of 10 people or less or or a full resort reservation of up to 60 guests.   Lusca Dining room is preferred for a full resort buyout. Imagine opening the doors to reveal your stunning private dinner setting.

CULINARY DELIGHTS

Your wedding specialist will work with our culinary team to create the perfect menu for your occasion. Elegant table decoration is included in all of our wedding packages. Décor and rental fees may be additional if you desire a more elaborate table setting. Food and beverage charges vary according to your selections.

Food and beverage options include: • Pre-ceremony refreshments • Post ceremony celebration cocktails and nibbles • Custom designed meals, formal or casual • Signature drink created for your wedding • Cupcake tree or specialty desert • Beverage packages • 5-course dinner with wine pairings to accompany each dish.

OPTIONAL SERVICES

All third party fees (event planners, flowers and décor, entertainment, etc.) must be approved with Caerula Mar Club. There are limited vendors on South Andros, so shipping, travel and accommodation charges may apply. We will be happy to provide detailed pricing to you after a consultation call.

FLORAL & DÉCOR We will custom tailor your wedding event to your color scheme, theme and tastes. We will be happy to make arrangements for your floral displays with our preferred florists. We have an array of ceremony settings and décor for you to select from, or we can obtain linens and tabletop décor for your specific request. If you prefer to send your own décor for the event, you must review the best shipping methods in advance of shipping items to Caerula Mar Club. Handling fees will apply.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY Capture your memories from start to finish of your wedding day with one of our preferred photographers. Access may be restricted for group photos to your room, the beach and ceremony area and dinner setting if the entire resort is not reserved.

Add on Trash the Dress or some romantic honeymoon photos.

Custom designed ceremony settings, tent rentals, PA systems and lighting packages are all available.

PAMPERING/GETTING READY Treat yourself and your bridal party from head to toe with massages, manicures and pedicures at our SPA or in your villa.

You may choose to have your hair and makeup done in the privacy of your villa or utilize our Spa for your bridal party to get ready for your big day. Hair and makeup services are not available on the island but can be arranged for you. Pricing depends on the number of people and services you wish to have. We encourage you to send us photos and to bring any hair accessories, foundation and makeup to be sure you have the exact products that are best for your skin and skin tone.

Choose to get ready for your wedding in the privacy of your own suite or villa or at the CMC oceanfront spa. Reserve the spa for 8 consecutive hours for $500 or $150/hour in addition to the hair and makeup stylist fees.

LOGISTICS & LEGALITIES

We’ll be there every step of the way! We will send you the application form in advance so that you can see the required information. It is very helpful for us to have the information on the form prior to your arrival so that we can get the paperwork started. We’ll schedule the meeting and will accompany you to the Administration Complex on South Andros to make the application. Your wedding day and officiant will be booked in advance. Same-sex marriage in the Bahamas is not yet legally recognized. Caerula Mar performs same-sex non-legal ceremonies.

ARRIVAL AND PROOF OF RESIDENCY The bride and groom must be in the Bahamas for 24 hours before applying for their marriage license and are required to show proof of arrival date. The Bahamas immigration card or entry stamp in your passport will suffice.

MARRIAGE LICENSE After the 24-hour period of residency in the Bahamas we will accompany you to the local Administrator’s office in South Andros. Offices are only open Monday-Friday and hours are limited. We will make the necessary appointments.

CEREMONY & MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE Your wedding ceremony can take place once the marriage license is approved. Your marriage certificate is obtained at the wedding ceremony.

APOSTILLE Many countries now require that official documents, such as international marriage certificates, be certified by the issuing country. In The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, this means that an Apostille (a special seal) is applied by the relevant authority to certify that a document is a true copy of an original. We have included the Apostille in your base wedding package and this will be available to ship to you approximately 30 days from the request; each additional certificate will cost $150. Shipping is additional.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS The following original documents are required: • Passport with entry stamp of arrival date in the Bahamas • Divorce decree (if applicable) • Death certificate of former SPOUSE (if applicable) • Proof if your name has been changed • Sworn declaration if you are single and have never been married • Written parental consent if under 18 years of age.

NOTES ABOUT GETTING MARRIED IN THE BAHAMAS • You must be present in the Bahamas for 24 hours before

making your marriage application. It is advisable to arrive 48 hours before your ceremony date. Applications are received during business hours, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:00pm.

• You must have your passports along with the immigration form that is given at the time of entry into The Bahamas.

• Applications can only be made Monday to Friday during business hours

• Two witnesses, who are at least 18 years old, must sign your marriage license. If it's just the two of you, witnesses can be provided.

• The marriage license is valid for up to 90 days in case you would like to apply during an earlier trip and perhaps combine with an on-site planning trip.

• If you are single and have never been married before, you will need a declaration certifying this fact. This can be sworn before a notary public or another person authorized to administer oaths in your country of residence. You will need this document when you apply for a marriage license. If you prefer, you can also make this declaration in The Bahamas with an attorney-at-law or notary public. This can be completed on South Andros but we will need to know in advance.

• If either of you have been previously married, you will need the original decree of divorce or a certified copy with raised or colored seal.  If in a language other than English, the original decree or certified copy must be provided in the native language along with a translated certified or notarized copy in English.

• If either party is widowed, the death certificate of the deceased spouse is required. 

• If you are a minor under 18 years of age, you must have written parental consent to be married in The Bahamas.  Please ask us for a consent form which we’ll obtain from the Government.

WEDDING EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS For an entire resort rental a deposit of 50% of the accommodation fee is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival date.

Required deposits for various optional services will be detailed for you as you move through the planning process.

CANCELLATION For an entire resort rentals or group bookings, the deposit is non-refundable. Written cancellation is required 60 days in advance of your arrival date. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival date will not receive a refund. Any monies paid to third party providers will be dealt with according to their cancellation policies. We accept no credit risk, deposit risk or cancellation risk for any prior or subsequent claims made by any third party providers.

The cancellation charges outlined above are liquidated damages as a genuine pre-estimate of damages, and not a penalty.  No refunds or adjustments will be made for any portion of a guest’s stay not utilized.

LIABILITY Client is responsible for their personal safety and the personal safety of any guest at their event on property.

In the case of emergency/injury that may require medical attention while on property, staff will call and request medical help on behalf of the client.

Management shall not be responsible for the safekeeping, loss, theft or damage of any of the client’s belongings.

If the client or their guest damages or breaks any facility, equipment or hotel property, the client is liable for the entire cost of necessary repairs or replacements. Such costs shall be assessed by management and their decision is final and conclusive.

All music and entertainment at all events/parties must be silenced by 10pm unless written agreement from management is received. If booking an event to last past 10pm the full resort must be reserved by your party.

Bookings for events that are not full resort bookings are limited to certain areas of the resort and must not disrupt other guests.

CMC reserves the right to remove any guest/visitor at the discretion of management and any liability arising from a disturbance will fall directly to the client.
