Product Page
Product Pages are a special page type.
The basic framework of a product page is filled by content that is pulled out of the product database Bflow and Jflow automatically.
But you can manually add further content via Product RI.

Content Items are a special type of a page which can stand alone without a center frame.

• Can reference or promote a content item, a channel, an external website, a download or a product. They can also be used as navigation like a portlet.
• They can be used within the center of the page and on the right rail, depending upon use and whether you are in a channel, center or content display.

• CMA - Content Management Application (CMA) allows you to update the springer.com site.
• Channel – houses the main sections and subsections as well as the views and languages for each center.
• Center – Centers are homepages for disciplines and their views and language combinations or overviews of more detailed content. They are the main part of the page into which a content item, list, form, product information or teaser can be placed.
• Content Item – Fills the center of the page.
– Article – contains product or subject information.
– Personal Page – structured for authors and editors.
– Fragment – generally unchanging, it must be assigned to a page.
• List – displays books or journals or other content

Image Workflow
• To include images within your web pages, the data must be created individually.
• The Internet Team uploads all visible images (excluding artwork offered as downloads) into the CMA.
• Types of images:
– teaser images
– content images (images used in content items)
– logos
– author portraits
– eNewsletter images
• Email requests to [email protected]
• Once edited and imported into the CMS, the image is assigned an image ID number. This ID number will be sent to the requestor, which can then be incorporated into teasers and content items by the Channel Managers.
