Camden Military held our first Google Hangout of the new school year in September. Those viewing the

live event were able to submit questions to our panel of cadets via social media using #CamdenMilitary. This

unique opportunity was very well recieved and allowed for cadets and parents to connect and learn more about

CMA. You can view our hangout in the video gallery on the CMA website!

Camden Military Academy Flood Relief Efforts

In October, parts of South Carolina were devastated by severe flooding. While CMA didn’t experience any damange, cadets felt a need to get involved and help those in need. A group of 10 cadets participated in a flood-

damage cleanup at Tracy’s Camp in Rimini, SC. Others distrubted water at several distrubution sites to those who did not have access to clean water for days. Col. Boland and a group of cadets delivered a semi-truck of

goods to Columbia’s local food bank. We were thankful to have the opportunity to connect with families in the community and help them rebuild thier lives. Our cadets thought the experience was very eye-opening and

would do it again.

Congratulations to Thomas Azrelyant, Brenton Buckley, Jake Dean, Austin Martin, Alex Ranft and Jack Thurman for being choosen to be apart of this year’s Kershaw County Junior Leadership program.

During the year, students will meet in monthly sessions to learn more about leadership, career

opportunities, state government and cultural diversity. They will also participate in a community service

project at Camden Military Academy.
