Sidhu, while speaking on “Peoples, Skills, and ChangeManagement”- (Unlocking Youth Potential) said that youth needsquality education and skills. The country will rule over the world onlywhen our youth is ready with skills, He said that to make Punjab a
prosperous state we can not overlook the service industry, To dayindustry need technically qualified and skilled persons, which is inshort in our country. He said there is need to change the educationsystem in the country

On this occasion the Chairman of UBS and President Baddi,Barootiwala and Nalagarh Association Mr. Arun Rawat also madetheir presentation on Skills Development. They said that if the countryhas to be brought amongst developed nations, the youth has to beprepared with right education and skills.Dr. Dinesh Gupta said that in a survey done by Goldman it came outthat team work is the most desired skill which is required in the youthfollowed by problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organised aseminar on 'Outlook for the Global Economy over the NextDecade here today. The key speaker Ms. Clare Moonan of
International Business, Sheffield Hallam University, UK,said 'Common Wealth Games have put India in thespotlight on the Global stage' and that India could bear theimpact of worst ever global recession has surprised manyworld leaders.She said that global recession has probably ended and theeconomy is still on the recovery path, however, she addedthat sustainability of the complete recovery could be fragile.While talking about Europe, Moonan said that to sustain theeconomic recovery in Europe, the EU must 'think European'and operate within the European market places.While talking about US Economy she said that PresidentObama's fiscal policies have worked some what butcreation of more jobs continues to bother US. She saidmany economic organisations have predicted that USEconomy will grow at 2.4%, against UK 0.6% in the nextdecade and India's GDP will grow on an average 6.3% dueto strong domestic market and less reliance on imports,however, increasing fiscal deficit will remain a worry.Others who spoke on the occasion included Dr. GulshanSharma, president CMA and Dr. Niraj Pasrich of RICM,Chandigarh.
