Ang atong pagka-kristiyanos naggikan gayud ni JesusCristo. Tinuod gayud nga siya dalaygon ug angay natong ikapasigarbo.

May duha ka bilyon ka mga kristiyianos karon nga miangkon nga Iyang sumusunod, duha ka tuig human sa Iyang kamatayon.

Dili maihap ang gidaghanon sa mga tawo nga nahimong martir tungod sa ilang pagtuo diha Kaniya.

Ang libro bahin Kaniya, ang Bibliya, maoy numero unong himalitan sa tanang panahon.

Introduction

The Uniqueness of Jesus

a) Gipahibalo nang daan ang iyang pag-anhi sa kalibutan. Tungod sa mga panagna sa mga propeta sa Daang Kasabutan, ang katawhan sa dugayng panahon nagpaabot sa mesiyas, nga nahatagan og katumanan diha ni Jesus.

b) Ang Iyang pag-anhi nakahatag og dakong epekto sa kasaysayan sa kalibutan nga nabahin ngadto sa duha sa hugna: BC ug AD.

c) Matag tawo nga miabot dinhi sa kalibutan, mianhi aron magpakabuhi. Si Jesus mianhi sa kalibutan aron mamatay. Ang iyang kamatayon mao ang katuyuan ug katumanan sa Iyang kinabuhi.

Si Jesus kanhi usa ka batan-ong panday sa Nazaret. Sulod sa tulo ka tuig siya nga nagsangyaw. Wala siya makaabot og labaw sa 200 ka kilometro gikan sa iyang pinuy-anan. Wala siya makaadto’g mga siyudad nga labaw sa 50,000 ang populasyon.

What was He Like?

• A very attractive personality• Strong in mind and body • Down to earth. Not a romantic or a

dreamer. Courageous.• A magnetic leader • A man of extraordinary authority • Not confused or unsure of Himself

or of His mission • Very human

Jesus Claims to be God

1. Jesus is totally unique from any other personality and so is clearly worth knowing. But is there more to Him?

2. Is Jesus worthy to be the center of my life?

3. The answer is YES. There is something more to Jesus than to any other person. He is worth paying more attention to than any other man. BECAUSE HE IS GOD.

How Do We Know He is God?

• By His miracles? Miracles only show that God is working through a person. A man could work miracles and not be God. (Jn 14:11-12)

• So how do we know? The answer simply is that Jesus Himself told us so.

How Do We Know He is God?

• Time and again throughout His public ministry, Jesus claimed to be God.– Mk 14:61-62– Jn 12:45; 10:30; 8:58

• Jesus' claim to divinity is a far different claim than Buddha or Confucius or Mohammed ever made. None of them ever claimed to be God.

How Do We Know That He is God?

• Also, Jesus claimed that He could forgive sin. Story of the paralytic at Capernum. Mark 2:3-12

Jesus is God

• Jesus was, and is, the Son of God as He claimed.

• Throughout scripture, we can read about a number of Jesus contemporaries coming to the realization that He was God.

• Simon Peter. Mt 16:13-16.• Martha. Jn 11:27• Nathaniel. Jn 1:49• Thomas. Jn 20:27• Even the evil spirits Mt 8:29, Mk 1:24, Mk 3:1

God Himself confirmed it.

Jesus is God

But the most conclusive proof is Jesus' own resurrection from the dead. The tombs of Buddha, Mohammed and the founders of all the great world religions are still with us. Only Jesus' tomb is empty.

Conclusion

• Jesus is a man whose words and life demand a response from us. He is making claims that affect us.

• a) If He is not God, then we should have nothing to do with Him, because we do not want to be followers of a liar or a lunatic.

• b) But if He is God, then we should seriously consider Him. Our response will have eternal consequences.

• Who do you say Jesus is? That is the inescapable question. He alone can redeem you--free you from the power and penalty of sin. He alone can transform you, restore you to fellowship with God, and give your life eternal purpose. Will you repent and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? The choice is yours.
