Welcome to theFMBC Youth Group
Hello! My name is Andrew Cline, and I’m the Youth Leader at FMBC Bellflower, looking after those in 7th -12th grade. I have enjoyed teaching teenagers about
God and life since 2005. The teenage years are insane, but teens can begin to have the life God intended – and I promise to help them discover that life.
Helping me with the the Youth Group, is my sister Melissa. She’s been helping with the Youth since 2006. She is a fantastic mentor for
young ladies and is a key player in coordinating Youth events.
Lessons:The Core Curriculum
“The Core” is a 3 year Sunday School program, covering the most important issues teens face, giving them the ability to embrace the life God desires for humanity.
Year 1: “Love God, Love Others” (Mark 12:30-31)
Developing a love and knowledge of Scripture, prayer, and wise living, equips teens to embrace the most important part of their life – loving God and loving others.
Year 2: “The Very Good Life” (Genesis 1:26-31) Teens discover that the intense everyday needs and desires for family, romance, friendship, work, pleasure, and purpose are gifts from God, meant to be part of the very good life God designed since the beginning.
Year 3: “The Grand Story” (Romans 15:1-7) The Bible is the grand story of Jesus restoring God’s relationship with fallen humanity. By going through the Bible (Old and New Testament), teens see history as His Story, and learn the story continues through them, as God empowers His people by being His church.
