NOTICE: Closing Information on the Fort Negley Encampment.
Metro Parks will begin enforcement of the existing ordinance prohibiting
overnight camping on April 15, 2016.
The Metro Code of Laws
states: SECTION 13.24.410
CAMPING:
No person shall tent or camp or erect or maintain a tent, shelter or camp in any park, except in
those areas specifically designated by the Board for such purposes.
ASSISTANCE INFORMATION:
If you are in need of moving assistance, please contact Mark Watkins with Metro Parks at
615-999-8476 between 1:00 PM-3:00 PM (Monday through Friday) to schedule a time to
pick up your belongings.
Storage space is available nearby in a Parks maintenance shed. Please contact Mark Watkins
with Metro Parks. His phone number and hours are same as above.
Emergency shelter beds are offered at the Nashville Rescue Mission:
